Ok right to the point I love my truck but I must sell it do to my long travels to work. It runs great and has never let me down. I have had it just over a year the only long trips it has been on were to Maine and back and to the OBX of north Carolina. everything else was local. everything works it needs new rain guards they were all messed up when I got it just never fixed them. I have a car fax report for when I got it from the dealer and I believe I was only the second owner. there is a new thermostat & gasket also a new battery. New spider injectors and a new starter was put on. I have receipts for everything done to it. oil changes were done on time. runs great I will answer any questions I can I need to sell asap I got a new car and there is just no room for my baby no more. It does need a good cleaning I just don't have the time to do it. It is pulled off the road but can test drive it around my house. This truck has low miles for its year and this is why I jumped on it. there is just minor things that need to be fixed on it. >>>>>>>> this is everything I listed above Only paint damage on the right back fender. There is also a small dent in the back left bumper. No center cup holder I bought it this way. I used it to keep a box of tissues. There is a cup holder that holds 2 cups that comes out from the dash. The glove compartment does latch and does stay shut but needs to be fixed. When I bought it a little over a yeas ago this as well was broken. You have heated seats in the front seats, tempter shown in mirror, 4W High and low works great 2W high and low works great, Built in DVD/CD with negation. GM looks to combat high theft rates on SUVs with added tech

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

The Cadillac Escalade has been at or near the top of most-stolen and insurance-loss lists for more than seven years, until it dropped to number six earlier this year. In 2011 it was fitted with a host of new security features to address its easy-to-override features and that has brought the number of thefts down, but when eight of the ten most stolen rides are large SUVs from General Motors, no one will argue that something else needs to be done.
Thus, GM has fitted this same theft-deterring tech to the 2015 Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon. The Suburban and Tahoe will get the steering lock that the Escalade and Yukon already get, plus bolted-down third-row seats to deter thefts like this, stronger door lock cylinders and shields, and side-cut keys to inhibit picking.
Additional security measures in a Theft Protection Package can be purchased for $395, consisting of sensors on the greenhouse glass and interior, an incline/tilt sensor and added "key control systems" to make it more difficult for the men in black balaclavas to steal what you bought.

GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.

GM thinks Colorado and Canyon midsize trucks will lure crossover buyers

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

The invitation to come out and sample product at the General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford, MI is rarely dull, and after spending this morning driving preproduction versions of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon all we can say is... under strict embargo. Sorry, America, we were as excited as many of you are to learn more about GM's new midsize truck range and take note of how they go down the road, but it's going to be September before we're allowed to share that with all of you. Here's to sweet suspense.
While we might not be able to talk about refinement or handling yet, we did find some of the product positioning and marketing statements from GMC and Chevy officials on hand at the program to be pretty interesting.
Of course, we all know that the literal competitive set for Canyon and Colorado is comprised of two comparatively ancient Japanese midsize trucks: the Toyota Tacoma (which currently owns this segment) and the Nissan Frontier. The Frontier's bones are as old as the 2005 model year, with 2009 marking the last time the truck was updated. The Taco was also launched in 2005, though it did see a freshening for 2012. The point remains that, in every facet from powertrain to dash plastics, the GM midsize truck twins are going to look positively space age by comparison when they hit the market for MY 2015.
