THIS 1957 T-BIRD IS BY FAR THE BEST EXAMPLE OF ANY IN IT'S CLASS. IT RETAINS ALL IT'S ORIGINAL BODY PANELS AND WAS VIRTUALLY "RUST FREE" AND "DENT OR ACCIDENT FREE". IT WAS ALWAYS GARAGED AND WAS UNDERCOATED WHICH I'M SURE WAS THE REASON FOR IT'S CONDITION. UNFORTUNATELY THE PAINT COULD NOT BE SALVAGED DUE TO THE "GARAGE" SCRATCHES" IT INCURRED WHILE IN IT'S HIBERNATION. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION OF MILAGE AND OWNERSHIP FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND A COMPLETE CATALOG OF ANY PARTS PURCHASED AS WELL AS PHOTOS OF THE REPAINT IN DETAIL.

THE DRIVE TRAIN AND  UNDER HOOD WERE NOT TOUCHED OTHER THAN DRAIN AND CHANGE FLUIDS. UNDER THE HOOD WAS WIPED CLEAN AND ALL THE FACTORY STAMPS ARE STILL ON THE FIREWALL AS WELL AS UNDER THE DASH AREA. IT HAD A NEW CONVERTIBLE TOP INSTALLED, BUT THE HARDTOP AND HEADLINER ARE ORIGINAL AS WELL AS THE FULL TONNEAU COVER FOR THE COCKPIT.
ANY PARTS THAT WERE CHANGED, I HAVE BOXED TO GO WITH THE NEW OWNER, INCLUDING ALL DOCUMENTATION AND TONS OF PHOTOS. THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THIS CAR IS ALSO IMPECCABLE. IT STILL HAS IT'S BIAS PLY WHITE WALLS SO IF YOU INTEND TO DRIVE THE CAR I WOULD RECOMMEND PUTTING ON SOME RADIALS.
THE CAR RUNS, DRIVES AND SHIFTS EXCELLENT. EVERYTHING ON AND IN THE CAR WORKS AS IT SHOULD. I HAVE ONLY PUT ON APPROXIMATELY 1K MILES SINCE FINISHING THE CAR.
THE CAR WAS ENTERED IN THE DETROIT AUTORAMA AND TOOK 3RD PLACE IN IT'S CLASS (ONLY TO BE OUTDONE BY TWO BIG BLOCK CORVETTES). THAT TROPHY WILL ALSO GO WITH THE CAR.
SHIPPING FOR THE CAR IS ON THE BUYER, UNLESS YOUR IN 150 MILE RANGE AND I CAN TRANSPORT IT IN MY ENCLOSED TRAILER FOR A FUEL FEE.
PAYMENT FOR THE CAR IS CASH, CERTIFIED CHECK OR RECOGNIZED BANK TRANSFER. THE CAR WILL NOT LEAVE UNTIL FUNDS CLEAR MY BANK.
I COULD GO ON AND ON BUT IF YOU'D LIKE MORE INFO YOU CAN CALL ME (ROGER) EVENINGS (DST) FROM 6PM-9PM @ 586-421-0390. LEAVE A MESSAGE IF THERES NO ANSWER, I WILL CALL BACK. MORE PHOTOS UPON REQUEST.

Ford family keeps special voting rights

Fri, 10 May 2013

Ford Motor Company has a dual-class stock structure of Class A and Class B shares. The roughly three billion Class A shares are for the general public like you and me, while the roughly 71 million Class B shares are all owned by the Ford family. Each Class A share gets the shareholder one vote, each Class B share is worth 16 votes, the result being that Common Stock holders control about 60 percent of the company while the Ford family controls 40 percent even though it holds far fewer shares. The only way that could ever change would be if the Fords sell their Class B shares, but even so, Class B shares revert to Class A when sold outside the family, so they'd have to sell a whole bunch of them.
A contingent of Class A shareholders think the dual-class system is unfair, and for the past few years a vote's been held during the annual shareholders meeting to end it. It has failed every time, as it just did again during the meeting held this week. A smidge over 33 percent voted to end the dual system, outvoted by the 67 percent who are happy with the way Ford is going - unsurprising in view of a corporate turnaround that will be part of business-class curricula for years to come.
On the sidelines, Ford elected Ellen R. Marram to the post of independent director, the first woman to hold the job. The former Tropicana CEO and 20-year Ford board member replaces retiring board member Irvine Hockaday who helped bring Alan Mulally to the CEO position.

Enterprise working with renter's insurance to cover $47k Mustang stolen from its lot

Sat, 11 Jan 2014

There was more than a bit of public indigence following the recent story of Enterprise Rent-A-Car billing a customer $47,000 to replace a Ford Mustang GT Convertible stolen from a Nova Scotia lot. To recap: Kristen Cockerill rented the Mustang for two days, returned it to the lot on a Sunday and left the keys in a secure dropbox only for Enterprise employees to find the car gone the next day.
Despite Enterprise policies stating that customers are responsible for vehicles dropped on off-days, the company has admitted that the situation could've been handled a bit better.
In a recent statement, Enterprise has backed off the big-bill story, and claims to be working with Cockerill and her insurance company to resolve the issue. Further, the Enterprise general manager overseeing Nova Scotia has spoken with the harried renter, and apologized "for the way this claim was handled during the last few months."
