1929 Ford A Vin # A496802 was painted, put in a museum in the early 40's and was there until 1983 when I bought it at auction. I planned to restore it as this would have been an easy one because almost everything was there. This one of the straightest car I have owned with no rust or dents. The fenders have no rips or dent with original running boards As you can see from the photos the fits are excellent. This leads me to believe it has never been in an accident. I also believe the mileage of 11,000 is correct as the motor runs perfect and matches the vin # with no leaks and I see no evident of being apart, with an original radiator that I just filled. Gas tank is clean when I got it and I have never put gas in it, always using my coffee can arraignment to move it. Ford Explorer Jackson Pollock Edition results in trip to hospital
Tue, 02 Jul 2013Among the many useful pieces of driving advice we've taken to heart over the years, "Safely secure all cargo" is etched pretty high on our personal stone tablets. We've had a couple of frustrating moments over the years (numerous wonky cupholders and too-tall lidded cups; a radar detector that released its suction cups and dashed itself below the dashboard, etc.), but never anything like the scene above.
These photos above come courtesy of the Washington State Patrol, and they show the unfortunate aftermath of a driver, his dog, and his Ford Explorer after it crashed near the town of Belfair last week. According to reports, the man was schlepping five-gallon containers of paint inside his vehicle when he was involved in an unexplained accident. It's not clear what triggered the crash, but the impromptu abstract painting covered the whole of the interior, including the driver and his faithful companion.
The man was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries, and his dog was cleaned and later taken to a humane society.

Tue, 13 Aug 2013The last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible was sold on Saturday at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Reno, Nevada, for $500,000. Ford donated the Mustang to be auctioned for charity, and all of the money is going to the Brain Injury Association of America.
Parnelli Jones, winner of the 1963 Indianapolis 500, was there on behalf of the BIAA with his son Page, who suffered a brain injury in a sprint car crash in 1994. The bidding increased quickly, reaching $500k in no time, spreading a bit more hope to people who live with brain injuries.
The winning bidder will be able to choose the GT500's exterior, interior and stripe colors, and is scheduled to receive the car, signed by Parnelli Jones in appreciation for the donation, by the end of 2013. Watch the video below to see the auction-block action.
