THIS IS A 1929 FORD MODEL A "WE THINK" CORRECT US IF WE ARE WRONG. THIS THING HAS BEEN SITTING FOR OVER 30 YEARS IN A BARN. WE DRAINED THE GAS AND PUT NEW GAS IN AND CHARGED THE BATTERY. WE DROVE THIS THING DOWN THE ROAD. IT WAS AMAZING! THIS IS SET WITH A LOW RESERVE. THIS WOULD MAKE A AWESOME HOT ROD OR RESTORE IT. THE FENDERS,FIRE WALL ARE ALL METAL. WE BELIEVE THE TUB HAS BEEN CHANGED IN THE 1970'S TO FIBERGLASS BUT THE CAR SEEMS PRETTY COMPLETE FOR THE YEAR.
THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I LIST THIS ON EBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY PLEASE DO NOT BID EVEN $.01. I KNOW YOU PEOPLE LIKE TO BID BECAUSE YOU ARE BORED AT NIGHT WITH NOTHING TO DO, YOU NEED TO PICK UP A DIFFERENT HOBBY THEN WASTING PEOPLES TIME UP BIDDING ITEMS ON EBAY. EBAY IS NOT A GAME! FBI investigating recently fired Ford engineer for espionage
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Agents of the FBI are investigating a potential case of industrial espionage involving a recently fired Ford employee. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer had its world headquarters searched by FBI agents on July 11, and according to The Detroit News, had warrants to seize recording devices handed over to Ford by Sharon Leach, a now-former Ford engineer.
Leach, who had spent 17 years with the Blue Oval, was fired last month, after Ford Security relieved her of eight Sansa listening devices. The FBI got involved shortly after her dismissal, searching her home on June 20 and seizing some two dozen items, including computers, jump drives and financial records, according to warrants obtained by The News.
Ford has remained quiet on the matter, with spokeswoman Susan Krusel confirming that the automaker was working with the FBI as part of a "joint investigation," while declining to provide any additional details.
Ford Focus refresh shots leak ahead of Geneva
Sun, 23 Feb 2014In case you haven't been paying attention, Ford has been gradually redesigning its lineup to sport a familiar face. The Aston Martin-inspired grille shape debuted on the Fusion and was soon applied to the Fiesta. Even the front end of the new Mustang takes its cues from the same, and we're sure other models will soon be made-over to fall in line. The next on the docket? The Focus.
Set to be unveiled in little over a week at the Geneva Motor Show, the revised Focus has leaked out a tad early, revealing a mild facelift that bears that same trapezoidal grille with horizontal slats. Along with the new grille, the headlights, lower fascia and hood appear to have been reshaped. Around back there appears to be a new rear bumper and taillights, but otherwise the shape remains largely the same as the current model.
Expect the updates to be applied to all bodystyles offered around the world, including the hatchback, wagon and sedan. The engine lineup is expected to carry over largely unchanged, though the plug-in hybrid powertrain from the C-Max Energi could port over to the revised Focus. Plus Ford seems to have taken the opportunity to spruce things up in the cabin some. Check it out in the image gallery above and watch this space for the official announcement as we pack our bags for Switzerland.
National Geographic Channel balances Ford F-150 on four coffee mugs
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Proving that there is still something to be learned on television these days, National Geographic Channel recently introduced a new series called Duck Quacks Don't Echo. On the first episode of this science/comedy show, host Michael Ian Black proposes the idea that a truck can be supported with a ceramic coffee mug under each wheel - yes, he says that the entire weight of a truck can be balanced on just four coffee mugs.
Looking to find out whether this is fact or myth, the show uses a regular cab Ford F-150, weighing in at 4,800 pounds, and four average coffee mugs. Lowered onto the mugs, the idea is quickly put to the test. Can the cups hold up under 4,800 pounds? If so, what, exactly, would it take to break them? Scroll down below to find out.
