1956 F-100 TRUCK All original and untouched. Rust in all the normal places, running boards, bed, bottom of fenders, doors and a little in the back rear of the cab. The left rear frame rail is rusted in two but I have a patch piece to repair it. It has dents in the top and in the hood. It doesn't run or drive. The cab is in overall good condition for the year model. The 1956 truck is the only year with the wrap around windshield. It looks to be the original paint and doesn't appear to have ever had any major damage. Everything is still in place. Nothing has been removed. It still has the original "Y" block V8 and manual transmission. This is a true barn find truck. This would make a great rat rod, street rod or could be put back original. These are rare and hard to find models. Comes with bill of sale only. Titles are not issued to vehicles older than 1985 in the state of Georgia. If your state requires you to have a title they will issue you a title from the bill of sale. This is all of the pics that I have and I don't have a way to post any more. Ford and Chrysler reducing summer plant shutdowns
Wed, 22 May 2013Most domestic automaker assembly plants traditionally take a couple of weeks off during the summer. The shutdowns give each plant time for much needed repairs and maintenance, and in some cases, help better align production with demand. Not this year, though, as demand for many models is outstripping what Ford, Chrysler and General Motors plants can produce.
Ford has announced that it will shorten its annual summer shutdown for most North American plants from two weeks to one. The shorter shutdown will increase the carmaker's annual North American production by 40,000 units on top of the 200,000 extra units that it was already planning to produce this year versus last. Automotive News reports that Ford produced 2.8 million vehicles on this continent in 2012, and that output this year has already increased 13 percent through April.
Chrysler, meanwhile, is also operating at full tilt and plans to run some plants through the summer with no shutdown at all. Those not getting a break include Jefferson North where the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango are assembled, Toledo North that will assemble the new Cherokee, and Conner Avenue, home of SRT Viper production. Other assembly plants will be down for a single week, while all of Chrysler's engine and transmission plants except one in Indiana will continue operating with no shutdown this summer.
Ford gives police chiefs tech to surveil officers in their own cars
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Police officers certainly have a difficult job in keeping the streets safe, but as public employees in positions of authority, there is still a very real need for oversight. To that end, Ford is partnering with a tech company to offer a new system called Ford Telematics for Law Enforcement on its line of Police Interceptor patrol vehicles that could make cops safer, while giving cities a better idea of what its officers are doing.
The system streams live data about cruisers back to the home base to people like the police chief or shift supervisor. That info includes expected things like speed, location and cornering acceleration, but it gets incredibly granular as well, with records of things like if emergency lights are on, or even if an officer is wearing a seatbelt.
Ford Telematics for Law Enforcement "ought to protect officers as much as it protects the public," said Ford spokesperson Chris Terry to Autoblog. Constantly monitoring patrol cars offers cities a lot of advantages, too. First, it reduces potential liability because a department can prove where each vehicle is at all times. Also, officers know they are being watched and may potentially drive more safely.
