For sale is my 2004 Ford E-150 Super Duty Cargo Van. Van needs nothing but 1 background dash light-bulb.(Needle indicators still light though). Van runs and drives excellent. Starts perfect every day and has had no problems since I've owned it. Lower ball-joints replaced just before I owned it 2 years ago. The AC is cold and the heater is hot. Has 1 medium size ding behind rear of drivers door. A few little dings on rear doors. Please see all pics and examine. Van not perfect outside but is super nice overall for a work truck. Has low miles for the year and always taken good care of mechanically.  Oil changed 3 times by me with Mobil-1,20-50.The entire drive-train and wheel hubs are dry with no leaks anywhere. A super dependable van that has the small V8,4.6 which has the best mpg in a full sized van. Has 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Van has factory transmission-cooler and oil-cooler too. I installed Gabriel Hi-Jacker adjustable air-shocks on the back. Has the cargo cage with sliding door as well. Has locking gas-cap. Van also has factory flat-4-pin trailering harness. Van is insulated since it was temporarily used as a camper before I actually bought one.(would be great to hold heat or AC for new owner) Entire insulation and plywood can be removed in about an hour if you should desire. There is a plywood bed under all the junk you see in pics. Nothing prettied up for ebay pics, but I will empty out van and clean up the cab area with Armour-all for the new owner. Floor of van is factory padded rubber cargo mat. KBB valued at $5500+ .I have a clean title in hand. I will answer any questions if you have any. Thanks for looking and good luck.

2014 Ford Fiesta ST

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

I'm not overly inclined to professional jealousy, as a rule. Sure, I go a bit green around the eyes when Ramsey draws the 911 GT3 trip to Weissach, Harley is tapped-in to drive a completely stunning Porsche 911 by Singer, or, you know, Drew Phillips gets to shoot a Lamborghini Veneno in the middle of a desert like some sort of sheik. I hate you guys...
Honestly though, one of the new car events that dug me the most, was when our Steven J. Ewing got to fling the Ford Fiesta ST around some hot corner of Europe. What goes around comes around, I suppose, as Mr. Ewing himself espoused an envious nature of the Focus ST trip that came before.
The good news in all this covetous intra-office behavior? All the cars mentioned, and specifically the Fiesta ST, are just wonderful to drive. I can say that with more confidence than ever now, having joined Ford for a good bit of Fiesta-flinging myself. In my case, the locale was slightly more pedestrian (Michigan not Portugal), and the car in question was the five-door version of the Fiesta ST that we get here in The States, as opposed to the three-door number they get across the pond.

Ford F-150 RaptorTrax is Ken Block's ultimate snowmobile

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Even when Ken Block isn't starring in the latest Gymkhana video or tearing up Global RallyCross courses, he's finding new ways to redefine "awesome" as it applies to motorsports. For evidence of this, look no further than Block's latest Monster-badged creation, the Ford F-150 RaptorTrax.
Billed as the "world's fastest snowcat," the RaptorTrax started life as a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, and then a set of Mattracks were put in place where the truck's bead-locked wheels and meaty rubber once resided. The goal was to create a truck that made it easier - and presumably more fun - for Block and his buddies to hit the slopes on their snowboards. Aside from the obvious track upgrades, this truck also received a Whipple supercharger, full roll cage, Recaro seats, an in-bed snowboard rack, a roof basket and a rear-mounted winch - you know, just in case something or someone actually manages to get this truck stuck.
The RaptorTrax will be on display later this week at the Winter X Games in Apsen, CO, but we'll have to wait until next winter for a full Block-worthy video of the truck. A full press release from Hoonigan Racing Division is posted below, and a high-res image can be found by clicking above.

Hurricane Sandy cost automakers 15,000 vehicles, may have ruined up to 200k

Wed, 07 Nov 2012

Hurricane Sandy was the largest Atlantic storm in US history, and its total economic impact is just now coming into view. According to Automotive News, Toyota, Chrysler, Nissan and Honda are set to scrap around 15,000 new vehicles ruined by the storm. Nissan alone accounts for about 40 percent of those, with 6,000 Nissan and Infiniti models deeded "un-saleable" due to damage. The company saw 56 dealerships shuttered due to the storm, but 51 of those have since reopened.
Toyota, meanwhile, had some 4,000 vehicles at its Newark port facility, and of those, 3,000 may be scrapped. An additional 825 were dealer inventory when they were ruined. Honda and Acura dealers are reportedly sending 3,440 vehicles to the salvage yard. By comparison, Chrysler weathered the storm fairly well with 825 units destroyed, while Hyundai suffered only 400 lost units and Kia scrapped around 200.
As you may recall, Fisker also suffered some losses, and Automotive News reports the manufacturer saw 320 Karma models damaged beyond repair. Ford and General Motors have yet to come up with estimates, and no automaker has commented on the full cost of replacing the vehicles.
