For
sale is an uncut 1970 Ford Bronco with removable top. It starts up easily and
the steering, clutch, and breaks work great. There are no fluid leaks and does
not pull to the left or right. All lights and windshield wipers work. Windows
open and glide smoothly including the back hatch. It has the original a.m.
radio, however does not work. I did purchase
a new speaker for it and installed it. Also, the horn is not working. While mileage
says 11,785 I’m sure it’s much higher than that. With that said, the motor has been
rebuilt. It has strong compression and
is an everyday driver. I have owned several Bronco's and by far this is the
best running one I have ever owned. There
is a small indention over back, right passenger wheel which is barely
noticeable in the pictures, but wanted to mention it. I had a four inch by six inch area cut out and
welded and skimmed leaving the small indention which is only noticeable in
certain light. There were a couple of
other small dents that were fixed. Other
than that the body is in incredible shape.
Underneath there are a few surface rust spots, but nothing
structural. In the pictures you can see
the undercoating peeling off. That is
not rust. Underneath the truck is solid.
A few minor dings still exist, but over all looks beautiful. The truck
is solid. The hard top inside and out and door panels were all painted and
clear-coated when the truck was re-painted. The
following have been replaced in the past 18 months:
This
is a very dependable, strong running truck. Super fun to drive! Has to go to
make room for a new project. This is being sold "as is". A deposit of $1,000 is due within 24 hours of auction end and remaining balance due within five working days from end of auction. Buyer responsible for shipping and needs to be picked up with 10 days of end of auction. Happy Bidding! |

Need for Speed movie casts Mustang in hero car role
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Dreamworks Studios, Electronic Arts and Ford Motor Company announced today that the Ford Mustang will play the lead hero car role in the upcoming Need for Speed movie, slated to hit theaters next February. Of course, the Mustang didn't audition for the role like we imagine the film's star, Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad fame, might have. Rather, Ford and Dreamworks struck a partnership deal that meant the Mustang could skip the casting couch. The deal will also see the film's universe populated with other Ford products (gratuitously so, we're guessing), and the automaker will also help the studio promote the video-game-turned-movie next year.
The hero car in question is a special one-off Mustang created by Ford that is making its debut at the E3 video game trade show as we speak. Powered by a supercharged V8 and apparently based on the Shelby GT500, the car's been modified with a widebody kit, 22-inch wheels, larger air intakes and twin hood nostrils. Ford also provided the film's production with an F-450 truck that will be called "The Beast" in the film's story, and a second Mustang to be used during filming as a camera car.
The Mustang's movie career is really taking off, with news of its Need For Speed casting closely following last week's release of the trailer for Getaway, a movie coming out in August that stars Ethan Hawke, Selena Gomez and another Shelby GT500. In addition to Aaron Paul and a modified Mustang, the Need For Speed movie also stars Michael Keaton (cop, we're guessing) and Dominic Cooper (villain, we're guessing), and is directed by Scott Waugh, who directed the Navy SEAL film Act of Valor in 2012.
Ford Explorer Jackson Pollock Edition results in trip to hospital
Tue, 02 Jul 2013Among the many useful pieces of driving advice we've taken to heart over the years, "Safely secure all cargo" is etched pretty high on our personal stone tablets. We've had a couple of frustrating moments over the years (numerous wonky cupholders and too-tall lidded cups; a radar detector that released its suction cups and dashed itself below the dashboard, etc.), but never anything like the scene above.
These photos above come courtesy of the Washington State Patrol, and they show the unfortunate aftermath of a driver, his dog, and his Ford Explorer after it crashed near the town of Belfair last week. According to reports, the man was schlepping five-gallon containers of paint inside his vehicle when he was involved in an unexplained accident. It's not clear what triggered the crash, but the impromptu abstract painting covered the whole of the interior, including the driver and his faithful companion.
The man was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries, and his dog was cleaned and later taken to a humane society.
Ford Australia launches Falcon GT F 351, last of its line [w/video]
Sun, 15 Jun 2014It's always best to go out with a bang rather than a whimper, and Ford Performance Vehicles is doing just that in Australia with the Falcon GT F 351. It's the most powerful road car the Aussie performance brand has ever made with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 pumping out 471 horsepower (351 kilowatts) and 420 pound-feet of torque. It's joined by the FPV Pursuit Ute with the same powerplant tuned to 422 hp and 402 lb-ft. Sadly, the last F in this Falcon's name stands for Final.
The GT F 351 is a monumental way to go out, though. It harkens back to the old days of Aussie muscle Fords, and the 351kw output is meant to reference the classic Falcon GT and its 351-cubic-inch V8. In addition to the massive power, the F has the improved suspension from the R-Spec model and Brembo brake calipers.
FPV is building just 500 GT F sedans for Australia and 50 more for New Zealand, plus 120 Pursuit Utes. They feature a blacked-out hood and black stripes over the hood and sides, plus gloss black accents around the headlights, door handles and mirrors.
