Hello folks, I’m putting up my 1993 Dodge Ram W350 for sale. First let me say I LOVE this truck. The only reason why I’m selling it is because my knee is giving me issues from past injuries and the clutch pedal isn’t helping me at all, simply put I can’t drive a standard shift truck anymore

I bought this truck from the original owner about 7 years ago. The gentleman I purchased it from used it for a tow rig for his offshore racing boat.  I have all the original paperwork for the truck including the window sticker, bill of sale and the title which shows 8 miles (never exchanged hands until I purchased it) even the sales brushier which shows THIS TRUCK ON THE COVER. This truck was $32,000 in 1993. There was no expense spared it has every option available at the time(club cab LE, power windows, power mirrors, power locks, cruise, infinity sound,3:55 gear set, 4x4) .

I looked for a long time to find this truck, these early Cummins Diesel trucks are very hard to find and keep climbing in price. In my opinion this truck here will be a collectable in years to come. Being I intended to keep this rig for ever I decided to put a full frame up restoration into the truck. The entire body came off and I bought the best of the best components.

Below is the list of work completed about 18 months(15k miles)ago.

·         Full frame was sandblasted and painted in industrial chassis black

·         All new stainless steel brake lines from the master all the way to the wheels

·         Stainless braided brake hoses

·         Completely new rear brake assemblies along with new drums, e-brake cables …EVERYTHING

·         High pressure nitro filled shocks all around

·         Cross drilled rotors with new calipers, HD pads, hardware…

·         Entirely new steering, Tie rods, draglink, king pin bushings and seals, power steering hoses….

·         New spicer U-joints in the entire truck must be 10 of them all together

·         New HD clutch with upgraded ball bearing pilot bushing

·         Completely rebuilt Getrag transmission (close to 3K for this job)

·         All new performance 4” exhaust from the Turbo all the way out

·         Ultra heavy duty battery with upgraded heavy equipment type battery cables

·         New Genuine MOPAR injection pump.(that’s right genuine Mopar, not some ebay junk)

·         New Genuine Mopar injectors (stock HP)

·          Lift pump, Killer dowl pin safety kit

·         4 new 235/85/16 E-rated tires

·         The list goes on and on ,I kept every receipt and truthfully I don’t want to go through them all, I’ll end up having a breakdown. If I had to estimate I would say I’m into this truck for 25K in parts alone.

I never touched the body on the truck. It looks like the bed and Cab is in original paint, the doors and fenders were repainted at some point in its life.

The ugly:

There is one rust spot on the drivers rocker panel which you can see in the pictures and the driver and passenger floor are very rusty (most likely from wet feet on the carpet over the years). My intention was to put a retro like paint job on the truck in the future, two tone brown metallic or something similar. The truck was originally an automatic so the gear shift on the column is still there. I have a standard shift column that comes with truck if new owner wants to swap it out.

Overall:

Also included in sale is full length aluminum diamond plate running boards (dually specific , wide where wheel flares out)

Leer camper cap with carpeting and camper door (full height door, you remove tailgate and this door hinges up but has a door in the middle for people to get in and out of)

Complete set of 6 custom Rickson 19.5” wheels powder coated desert sand. (no tires)

Will this truck be a collectible? Maybe? One thing for certain is this truck does the same job as the new $60K Cummins Dually rig, if not better I get 16mpg towing  on a regular basis.

If your looking for a work horse this is it. If your looking Cummins  Diesel this is it. If your looking for a rare first gen Dodge this is it. This truck has it all. If you have any questions please contact at fieldcombs@gmail.com

I will be looking for a automatic truck and will consider swapping for a muscle car or mopar project.

Thanks for looking guys and take care.

On Sep-16-14 at 15:34:09 PDT, seller added the following information:

Few things I forgot to mention. The truck has had a bed liner in it and a camper cap since day one. There are no dents or rust inside the bed. No goosenecks or fifth wheels ever but it does have a new 12K receiver and flat 7-pin with brake controller. A nice accessory I put in the truck is I have 2/0 battery cable running to the receiver and a quick connector for powering heavy amperage loads, works great for jumper cables or trailer winches and other accessories.

Jay Leno gets his denim mitts on Dodge's new Challenger Hellcat

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is definitely the performance car of the moment. The fact that in the near future, people will be able to buy a 707-horsepower muscle machine straight from a major automaker for $59,995 and with a factory warranty almost seems absurd. We drove it recently and found the Hellcat to be just as much of a beast as its numbers would suggest. Now, it's a certain comedian's turn behind the wheel in the latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage.
This week's guest is Dodge President and CEO Tim Kuniskis, and he's there to drop all sorts of interesting factoids about the Hellcat. For example, its Pirelli P Zero tires retail at around $300 each, he says. That makes its smoky burnouts a rather expensive proposition. Kuniskis, who recently hinted at a mystery Woodward Dream Cruise debut, also talks about the genesis of the 2015 SRT project with a goal to get over some of the standard Challenger's weight and size disadvantages. The fix is a supercharged V8, massive brakes and other goodies to smooth over the platform's more glaring shortcomings.
Leno appears to get a big kick out of the Hellcat. However, he can't seem to stop bringing up his desire to drive one with a six-speed manual. They obviously exist, but Kuniskis has an eight-speed automatic for the retired Tonight Show host to try out. Of course, as with any Hellcat video, there has to be at least one burnout. Despite the expensive tires, it seems like enthusiast's law at this point - and dear ol' Jay wouldn't want to break any rules, would he?

Help find Kenny Wayne Shepherd's stolen 1972 Dodge Charger

Mon, 11 Nov 2013

Judging by his collection of cars, blues musician Kenny Wayne Shepherd (shown above, at left, with fellow musician George Thorogood) is an enthusiast of classic Dodge muscle cars, so it's no surprise that he is an active member of Mopar-related online communities. When his 1972 Dodge Charger turned up missing from an LA-area warehouse last Wednesday, Shepherd took to the forums of Moparts.org in an attempt to get the word out in hopes of recovering his custom classic.
The Charger was stolen along with four other vehicles, and Hot Rod reports that two women have been taken into custody since - but still no word on the car. With its blacked-out appearance (including custom Foose wheels), this car is definitely hard to miss, but Shepherd also said that the car might be even more distinguishable now due to some body damage that may have occurred as it was being driven from the warehouse lot. Shepherd's website has a full gallery of images for this '72 Charger, which also has a modern 392-cubic-inch V8 under the hood and a six-speed gearbox pulled from a Viper.
If you're in the LA area and happen to see this car, Shepherd asks that you call the LAPD West Valley Division at 818-374-7611. Here's to hoping this one-of-a-kind Charger turns up unscathed.
