This is a 2002 Dodge Dakota SLT 4x4 4.7 V8 with automatic transmission. This vehicle starts, runs and drives, but it has a problem with the engine. I believe it is a bad head gasket as there is a coolant smell and coolant can be seen in the oil. This vehicle is being sold As-Is. The overall vehicle is in good condition. The body is in good condition with two rust bubbles above the rear wheels typical for dodge vehicles. The underneath is clear of any rust damage and the frame is in good condition. The transmission was rebuilt only 20k miles ago, new alternator, and many new parts. The interior is in great condition with no rips or tears in the seats. The vehicle comes with a matching LEER fiberglass cap. Aluminum alloy wheels, and the vehicle has a clear title.

Chrysler recalling over 280k minivans because airbags may deploy on wrong side
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Chrysler has issued a recall for some 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Ram C/V Tradesman vans built between May 10, 2012 and June 7, 2013. These vehicles may have a software error that would cause the wrong side (opposite side) airbags to deploy in a crash. With this defect, a left-side impact would cause the right-side airbag to deploy, etc.
The recall affects 281,500 vehicles in total: 224k in the US, 49,300 in Canada, 2,900 in Mexico and 5,300 in other locations. Chrysler will notify owners of effected vehicles, and reflash the offending occupant restraint control module to resolve the issue. Tue, 06 May 2014The onslaught of news from Fiat Chrysler's layout of five-year plans continued with Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis this morning, including the unexpected announcement that SRT was coming back into the fold.
After just a few years existing as an independent entity within the Fiat Chrysler universe, an unceremonious press release hit in conjunction with today's lineup of announcements, saying "the SRT family of vehicles will be consolidated under the Dodge brand." Group CEO Sergio Marchionne thanked SRT headman Ralph Gilles for his dedication to the high-performance wing, calling out is efforts in expanding the vehicle lineup and including more customized models. He did not reference disappointing SRT Viper sales today, but we sense there's a bit of subtext.
With the SRT reunion at Dodge, it's appropriate that some of the most exciting product announcements for the next five years have to do with upcoming performance products. First out of the gate will be a refresh for that flagging Viper in 2015, which comes as little surprise.
