This auction is for a super nice pro built 72 Nova show car . The car has a mirror finish black paint job that must be seen to appreciate "pictures do not show the quality" . The engine is a 10:1 compression pump gas 555 GM big block with GM aluminum heads featuring J.E. pistons, Eagle rods and crank and complete roller valve train and much more making 700HP . The trans is a built GM TH400 with a forward shift pattern manual valve body and a Hughes 4000 convertor. The rearend is a built 9 inch Ford with a Yukon Case featuring 35 spline axles and 488 gears . The rear tires are 33 inches tall so the gears are fine on the street or playing at the strip if desired. The car runs 10.60s with ease on the engine and is in the nines on a mild tune of NOS. This has not been a frequent track car but it has been tested for E.T. at our local track to prove itself as a fast show car. This is an all steel car with a bolt on fiberglass hood and the fit and finish as well as the chrome and bright work are extremely nice. The exhaust , wiring , suspension and all other custom features of this car were professionally done and are very sanitary . The car is tagged and insured and is a blast to drive ...... Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.
GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns
Thu, 31 Jan 2013Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
