1959 El Camino, Red over white, all original from A-Z. #'s matching 348 big block blueprinted with less than 3,000. miles since rebuild. Original#'s matching four barrel carb. Complete restoration in 1999 on jig. New wiring and all found rust repaired. Exterior is exactly the way we found it. No current known rust. Original interior. All original options including factory air, factory power steering & brakes, spot light, original mechanical cruise control, speed minder, vacuum ash tray, power washer/wipers, original cloth seats, tissue & trash holder, original push button radio, tons of chrome, and more!

I purchased in 1998 out of KC for my wife. I hired an expert restorer and helped with complete process. Nothing left undone. Originally built in St. Louis. Garaged in Colorado since 2001. High end daily driver. We use to go to Dairy Queen 2-3 times in summer only. Never in the rain since we purchased. This truck is for some one serious about owning a great El Camino with little to do except tinker. Not that it matters, but we have $120,000. invested. Parting this out or realizing my loss is your gain vs starting from scratch on a rust bucket. You wont find another like this.

Problems- small leak in original power steering. Have not located but most likely seal on ram. Air may need freon as we have never used since restoration. Cruise disconnected by me due to safety concern. A few very minor chips or scratches from storage, transport, kids etc. I added non original air shocks in back for loads but never needed as nothing heavy hauled.

Time to downsize! Best opportunity you will every have on a no excuse all original El Camino.  You can personally inspect with deposit or call me for any info. 720-981-7090. Once inspected or purchased sale is as is. Please no crazy bottom fishing. This is already a bargain. Rust buckets and Rod's can be purchased much cheaper!

2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*

Fri, 26 Apr 2013

After months of speculation, Chevrolet has finally revealed the official starting price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible - pretty modest increases considering the upgrade in specifications. Of course, neither price accounts for the sort of dealer markup that might grace early C7 window stickers, especially since less than a third of all Chevrolet dealers will be allocated Corvette models to sell at the car's launch.
Now, these prices are for the base car, so if you're wondering how much a fully loaded Stingray will run, Chevy has given us a good indication of that as well. The coupe we saw on display at the Detroit Auto Show (shown above), for example, would run $73,360 including options such as the $2,800 Z51 Performance Package, $2,495 competition sport seats and the $1,795 Magnetic Ride Control option - just to name a few. Stepping up to the 3LT trim level that brings a full leather interior will run an extra $8,005 over the base price.
While $20,000 in options may seem like a lot, this "as-tested" price still has the C7 competitively priced against rival coupes like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R. Speaking of price comparisons, Chevrolet also points out that the C7 Stingray Z51 costs $2,200 less than the C6 Grand Sport while delivering better acceleration (0-60 mph in less than four seconds) and improved track performance (including more than 1 g in cornering).

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting?
