Greetings to All !!! imotors is pleased to offer this Gorgeous Low Mileage 1992 Cadillac Allante'. This is the most sought after of the Allantes and is certainly the most reliable. Allantes were made from 1987-1993. There were various improvements done from year to year, '92 being the last one before the "all new" '93 was introduced. I believe the '91-'92 is the BEST(I actually had one myself, that I owned since 1999, and kept for 10 years...and finally sold it with a whopping 143,000 miles on it!!!)...They finally got it right, after 6 years, and then re-designed it for 1993, and then stopped production!!! 1992 is the LOWEST production year,with only 1698 built, as the "new" 1993 was introduced in May of '92(in time for the Indy 500, in order to be the Pace Car that year). The coachwork was done in Italy at the famous Pininfarina studios, the same guys who design Ferrari's. The assembled bodies were then flown to the US by special jumbo jet to be mechanically fitted by Cadillac. 1992 was the last Allante' to have Cadillac's famous 4.5 liter V8 that produces an amazing 200 HP. It is extremely fast and is quite nimble with the specially tuned SDD (speed dependent dampening) suspension. It is also equipped with a drivers SRS airbag, Anti-lock brakes and Electronic Traction Control. There are no 1994's or 1995's. 1991-2 is the best Allante' ever built. They are becoming increasingly harder and harder to find....especially in this condition, with such low mileage. We have run a Carfax report on this Beautiful Allante' and it passed with flying colors. It carries the famous "Carfax Certified Buy Back" guarantee, and has a clean Pennsylvania title. This particular example is, We believe, a 2 owner car that spent it's entire life in Winter free Texas. It has just been serviced, and inspected, and is a fine specimen. It has recent Bridgestone Radial Tires fitted, along with new front brakes and brake hoses, along with rebuilt front calipers. The radio receiver has been rebuilt, along with the Bose speaker amplifiers. We installed 8 new spark plugs, AND 8 new fuel injectors. The front end has been recently aligned, and a brand new Interstate battery has been installed. All accessories are functioning correctly with the exception of the CD Player($225.00 to repair), and the cassette player($125.00 to repair). We can gladly have either of these repaired for the new owner. THIS IS THE ONE!!! If you ever wanted one of these Beautiful Italian made masterpieces this is your Golden Opportunity. There are no dents, or scrapes. The finish is just beautiful. There are of course, a few chips here and there, only what one would expect on a 21,000 mile car, that is over 20 years old. I noticed some overspray on the rubbers behind the front bumper, indicating previous paintwork. We had the bottom of the left front fender repaired, due to a small ding, and painted the lower portion of the left door and quarter to ensure a good match. The black cloth soft top is also in fine condition. It has no rips or tears. The rear window is glass and has a defogger. The mini covers are present in their pockets behind each seat. There are about 40 photographs below, so you can take a tour of the entire car...from outside to inside. Even the trunk and the engine compartments are shown....please take the time to let all of the photographs load. We're sure that you will be just delighted. The interior is Rich Natural Beige Leather and is just magnificent with the Red exterior. The leather is still soft and comfortable. It appears to be a non-smokers car and still smells just great. There was some minor wear on the drivers seat, and center armrest, which we have had re-dyed. The dash pad is not "puckered" at the ends,as is typical with most of these cars, indicating minimal sunlight exposure. Everything is power of course, the windows and locks, and mirrors. Both seats are electrically controlled and it even has a CD player(that does not work, which is quite common)along with the cassette. There is electronic climate control with ice cold air conditioning and a built in trip computer. The dash is the digital version, and just adds to the this Allante's already wonderful personality. This is an extra clean low mileage car that is just beautiful. I have "test driven" it for a few days and it was a pleasure. We have just had this Gorgeous Allante' serviced and safety inspected. The oil and filter have also been changed. The 225/55 R16 Bridgestone radial tires are almost new all around. We have done extensive "Re-commissioning" due to apparent long term storage, and lack of use, as mentioned above. We have the original books and manuals, along with the mini covers, and 1 set of Gold keys. It has been fully detailed and is ready to give the lucky winning bidder many years of enjoyment. Fri, 18 Jan 2013This year's annual Eyes on Design awards were presented at the end of press days for the Detroit Auto Show on Tuesday. Given out for the best production and concept car designs that debuted at the show, and voted on by an esteemed panel of actual car designers, this year's award for best production vehicle design went to the 2014 Cadillac ELR. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, which was the show favorite among Autoblog editors, apparently did not impress the Eyes on Design judges enough with its all-new vent-festooned design.
The award for best concept design was actually split as a tie among the Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas concepts. Last year's winners were the 2013 Ford Fusion and the Lexus LF-LC concept.
The Eyes on Design organization also presented a new honor this year called the Catalyst Award to Bob Lutz, former Vice Chairman of General Motors. Lutz is reported to have given a defense of design in his acceptance speech, arguing that advancements in quality across the industry as a whole have made good design a key differentiator for buyers.

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
