You are looking at a very nice all original 1990 Cadillac Allante Convertible equipped with both the hard top and a very clean black convertible soft top in new condition. Convertible top has always been down with hard top on the car. This car runs and drives very well. The power seats and windows and A/C are all operative and car has a nice set of Good Year Eagle tires. I just had the car serviced and all checked over and the car needs nothing with the exception of a temperamental fuel and voltage gauge and the radio works intermittently. I don't have anyone here that I trust to mess with this car as far as gauge and radio repairs but I'm sure these three faults could be repaired by a experienced technician without too much trouble. This car has a few paint blemishes on the trunk as well as a small dent near the rear of same. I have taken a very good set of pictures and if you will look at them close you will be able to have an accurate description of this automobile.Car is not a trailer queen show car but is not by any means anything to be ashamed of. Unit shows very well. Car is currently located in Fort Wayne Indiana where someone could fly in and drive this car home. I also have the means to deliver the car if not too far for a prearranged fee. 2014 Cadillac CTS debuts new design, twin-turbo power, Vsport model [w/video]

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

If ever there were a Cadillac to truly rival the world's best, this could be it.
With every new model, Cadillac indeed gets closer and closer to actually performing at the top of its class, rivaling those crafty Germans at their own sport/luxury sedan game. The best example yet of Cadillac's efforts to challenge the world came last year, when we met the 2013 ATS - a vehicle that we praised for its on-road dynamics and interior refinement, and later went on to be named North American Car of the Year.

Cadillac ATS failing to command BMW 3 Series-like pricing as hoped

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

The BMW 3 Series has long been the benchmark for small and sporty luxury vehicles, but the Cadillac ATS has come on strong in its short time on the market as a true rival in this segment. As impressive as Cadillac's new compact sedan is, however, Automotive News is reporting that the car is still lagging behind the 3 Series when it comes to actual transaction pricing.
According to the article, the average transaction price for the ATS is $39,459 while the 3 Series is at a much larger $44,764, but, just as importantly, Cadillac has about $500 more in incentives on the ATS compared to BMW. Transaction prices are much closer to cars like the Mercedes C-Class and Audi A4. Of course, this is all with the ATS trying to take on its small, sport sedan rivals with a single bodystyle and limited powertrain options compared to the numerous options available from the German automakers in this class.
This uneven battle won't last long, though, as recent spy shots have revealed that Cadillac is hard at work on a high-performance ATS-V and an ATS Coupe. No official word as to when either of these models will be unveiled, but with auto show season set to kick off, we're expecting sooner rather than later. The best news for the ATS is that the Automotive News says sales of the ATS are on target and that 74 percent of ATS buyers are new to Cadillac - two important factors for the brand as it tries to break into this tough segment.

GM design boss Welburn says Lincoln isn't a Cadillac rival [w/poll]

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

General Motors Vice President of Global Design, Ed Welburn, had some dismissive words for a certain cross-town luxury brand during an interview with Car and Driver. When asked about his thoughts on Lincoln, Welburn deflected, before saying, "I don't consider Lincoln to be a competitor for Cadillac."
"They're not a global luxury brand. I don't consider them a competitor. Are they a competitor for Buick? Quite possibly. But not for Cadillac," GM's head designer explained. Welburn, who's been at the helm of GM Design North America since 2003 and is the first to hold the position of VP of Global Design, has been instrumental in the styling renaissance at GM, so predictably, Car and Driver's interview with him focused on the design aspect of cars.
During the interview, Welburn explicitly denied plans for a reborn Cadillac XLR, even as a new Chevrolet Corvette is hitting the market and strides are being made with Cadillac's V-Series performance arm saying, "We have a lot of cars that we're working on for the Cadillac brand. The XLR is not one of them right now."
