Up for sale is my 1986 Buick Regal with only 34,490 miles. Car is all original matching number. Paint is original,it has some scratches on the sides, not a rust spot any where. It was treated with an under coating (Bilstein R-2000) since new. The chrome on the bumpers and the stainless steel moldings are in excellent condition. The half top is in great shape,a true sign that the car was garaged all its life. The interior is in excellent condition, but the only thing replaced there was the head liner. The hood liner was also replaced. The brakes are in good shape, it has new shocks and I added a rear sway bar, and replaced the front one for a thicker one, added the Grand National wheels, and all this gave the car a more sportier ride. The motor runs great, it was tuned up, and the carburetor was professionally rebuilt. It has new plugs cap, and rotor cables. The thermostat and the housing was replaced, valve cover gaskets, and put a K&N air filter. Valve covers and the cover of the air filter where powder coded black. The spring on the oil pump was changed with a new one to bring the pressure back up. It has a new PWR performance aluminum radiator with custom brackets to be able to put a electric fan, it is a 4 row radiator so if you are looking to put a V8 in the car this will work grate. All the fluids where replaced oil, coolant, the oil on the rear end, trans & filter. I replaced the muffler for a stainless steel Magna flow with a 3" side pipe in stainless steel. I have the original muffler that is in good condition, with its side pipe. The AC is ice cold it was charged up. I also installed a MP3 input that works off the original radio, the small center console I made to hold my MP3 player is not bolted on so it can be removed if wanted. The only not working thing in the car is the cassette player. I put a dash pad on it, not to cover any thing up the dash is in good condition. It has tinted windows and a PA inspection good till 12/14. I have the original wheels and tires & hubcaps. Car can be seen and driven I have insurance on it. I will sale the car with ore with out the Grand National wheels, If the price is right buyer takes it all. Although shipping is not included in the sale, I can assist with delivery. Car can be driven cross country. I can end this at any time being that the car is being sold locally also. GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.

A Nice, New Buick Aims For Middle Of The Road
Any time someone describes some portion of a car or a driving experience as being "nice," I want to either A) throttle them or B) run as fast and as far as I can from that vehicle. "Nice" is among the most insidious words in the English language - at best it's vague, and at worst, it conveys the exact opposite of its literal meaning. Yet it seems to be used with damnable frequency when it comes to verbally illustrating vehicles. "It looks really nice," or "These seats feel nice," or, heaven forefend, "It's got a nice ride," are all windy signifiers of absolutely nothing resembling a concrete opinion. "Nice" is the adjectival equivalent of meekly smiling and nodding your head.
Of course, I'm as guilty as the next person of having thrown English's least powerful descriptor around. There's even a chance that, rant aside, you'll catch me making nice in reviews to come. That's fine, but you should know that when you stumble upon such usage, past or future, that you've found a sentence in which I'm simply applying a bare minimum of effort to the task.

Buick celebrates 110 years by naming most significant model of each decade

Sun, 23 Jun 2013

In May of 1903, Buick began work on its first vehicle, the 1904 Model B, the first example of which was sold to a doctor in Flint, Michigan. That first sale was appropriate since later on, Buick became known as a "doctor's car." The Model B is the first of 11 cars chosen by Buick to highlight each decade of the company's 110-year history.
The 1916 D-45 Touring with a six-cylinder engine was Buick's highest seller that year, and helped push overall sales past six figures for the first time, making Buick the top-selling automotive brand. In 1931, Series 50 got an eight-cylinder engine, which helped the company survive the Great Depression. The 1936 Century was the first Buick that could hit 100 miles per hour, the 1949 Roadmaster had a supporting role in Rain Man, the 1953 Skylark had Italian wire wheels and the owner's name engraved on its steering wheel.
Then we have the iconic 1963 Riviera, the V6-powered 1975 Regal, and in 1987, the legendary GNX. With a turbocharged, intercooled V6 pumping out 276-horsepower it could hit 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. In 1999 Buick built the first car in China, the Century, and that country remains the brand's largest market.
