UP FOR SALE IS MY....2000 BUICK CENTURY with 157,805 Miles
It is a FWD, AT, 3.1L V6, 4 DR car.. Dark Green exterior color with tan cloth interior. The A/C is is in very good working order and puts out ice cold air. Heat works as well. AM/FM CD & Cass. radio, front Airbags, Tires with more than 75% tread left. This car has been very well maintained and has been a daily driver for me over 10 years. Body is in good condition with no rust. The paint is in very good condition and has only minor wear with the exception of the rear bumper scuff on the corner. This local NC car was bought used with around 38k miles several years ago. I'm the second owner and have enjoyed this Buick with no complaints. This car has a clean title and has had no problems. This car has only 157,805 miles. All regular maintenance has been done. The car has been inspected and has passed all emissions standards. Please note that this car is driven a couple of days a week and has not been stored or has not been sitting up to collect rust. First 2013 Buick Encore TV ad features... dinosaurs
Thu, 14 Mar 2013The whole "SUVs as dinosaurs" trope has become something of a threadbare cliché among auto writers, but that doesn't mean the wider world of consumers has caught on to the Jurassic nature of our line of thinking. That's what General Motors appears to be betting on, at least. Just check out Buick's first television spot for its 2013 Encore, the tiny crossover that is pushing the Tri-Shield into territories unknown while looking to outrun the brand's reputation as a refuge for elderly clientele.
Set to air this weekend on ESPN during the NCAA college basketball tournament, the ad plays up the Encore's maneuverability and surprising interior space by setting the baby Buick amongst a herd of lumbering CG dinosaurs created by Tippett Studio, the folks behind Hollywood blockbusters like Jurassic Park, Ted, and the Twilight series of films.
We can't help but snigger a little - while the Encore is indeed surprisingly roomy, nimble, and composed, our first drive found it to be glacially slow, too... not unlike a certain prehistoric race of animals. Check out the commercial below and judge for yourself.
GM recalls 500K Chevy Camaros for ignition-switch defect
Fri, 13 Jun 2014General Motors issued a recall for more than a half million Chevrolet Camaros on Friday morning because of an ignition-switch safety hazard that mirrors the one at the center of the company's current crisis.
The problem affects Camaro models from the 2010 to 2014 model years. Approximately 464,712 cars are impacted in the United States, and 511,528 overall in North America. GM will alter the Camaro key to a more standard design, and will notify car owners with a recall notice in the mail.
In an announcement, the company said the ignition switches on the Camaros are fundamentally different parts than the older ignition switches found on defective cars that are responsible for killing at least 13 people and causing 54 crashes.
Buick might be getting a logo makeover
Fri, 23 Nov 2012General Motors has finished off an extensive model overhaul for its Buick division, but along with its updated cars, the brand might also be getting a new logo. According to the Detroit Free Press, GM North America President Mark Reuss indicated that the Buick tri-shield logo could be getting a makeover, but offered no further information.
It is unlikely Buick will completely redesign or replace its current logo, but the article seems to indicate that it might return to color; although all chrome now, the logo used to feature red, white and blue shields.
