I am selling a 2002 BMW M5 with 60,650 original miles. This car is adult driven and is in Pristine condition as you can see from the pictures. This car is fully stock and has never gone under any kind of modifications. Fully loaded with all available options Premium Audio, Alcanata Headliner, Navigation etc. The interior is in excellent condition and shows very few signs of wear. Very rare black on grey 2 tone leather with alcantara headliner.10/40 split rear seats, full navigation screen. Clutch grabs nice and strong, I am only selling the car as I will be traveling a lot in the upcoming months for my job and I don't want to keep this car around just sitting there as I won't be using it at all. I am starting the bid low, but I am open to offers. All the BMW enthusiasts already know how hard it is to find this car in this condition and with low miles. There are minor scuffs on front and rear bumper and the usual curb rash on wheels thats to be expected on the car 12 years old. 2014 BMW X5 recalled over faulty child-safety locks
Tue, 27 May 2014BMW is set to recall some 6,400 of its new-for-2014 X5 SUVs built between December 12, 2013 and March 10, 2014 due to concerns that the child safety locks, if set, might deactivate without warning. The problem affects only those vehicles with the automatic soft-closing option.
According to the bulletin issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the lock mechanism on the rear doors "may not have been manufactured to correct tolerances," meaning the safety locks could disengage with a simple pull of the door handle. Basically, with a pair of tugs, the rear doors could be opened from the inside, regardless of child safety locks.
BMW is in the process of notifying owners of affected vehicles. Any necessary repairs will be conducted free of charge. Take a look below for the official press release from NHTSA.
BMW 2 Series to wear 230i, M240i nameplates
Wed, 19 Nov 2014BMW might not be done tweaking its naming scheme quite yet. Of course, at this point, the jumble of numbers on the back of the Bavarian models has no connection to what's under the hood. So there's not much reason to stop changing the monikers now.
As Autoblog reported a few months ago, BMW is slotting upgraded, turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines called the B48 and B58, respectively, into the 3 and 4 Series. If this happens, the 328i/428i would become the 330i/430i, and the 335i/435i would turn into the 340i/440i.
Obviously, this change hasn't happened yet, but the same member of 2Addicts, a portion of the larger Bimmerpost community has now claimed that the 228i and M235i would get the same treatment. They would become the 230i and M240i, respectively, with the new engines.

BMW is aiming for 10 to 12 different vehicles from just two brands off one platform.
According to an interview between Automotive News Europe and the BMW board member that oversees Mini, Peter Schwarzenbauer, the funky British brand will be expanding far beyond the seven body styles it currently offers. "With the new ULK architecture, we currently have in mind eight to 10 models," Schwarzenbauer told ANE. That architecture he mentions, will also underpin the BMW 1 Series GT and the BMW X1, meaning that BMW is aiming for 10 to 12 different vehicles from just two brands off one platform (and that's only what we know about).
