Automatic transmission with 2.5 liter straight 6 cylinder with power sunroof. Engine runs good and transmission shifts smoothly. My opinion is the car is in good condition for the year but needs attention in some areas to put it in great shape. Straight body with one small dent on passenger fender (pictured). Very good paint. CD player, power locks. Odometer stopped turning at 195k. True miles unknown. Leather interior in fair condition - driver's seat is torn, dash pad cracked, 2 passenger door handles are loose but work, interior lights don't work, rear power windows and tach don't work, glove box mount tabs are broken so it's removed. AC not cold. Good heater. Some of the info center lights don't display. Antenna broken, No spare tire or jack. Very driveable so you can fix minor problems at your leisure."

This is a solid sedan that has the makings of a very cool car for someone who wants to put a little time and effort into it.  Ready to go on the road as it is, but not perfect.  Clear N.C. title.  Great for Bimmer E30 fan or young driver.  Ebay requires an odometer value which reads 195k. I listed miles at 200k but odometer doesn't work so true miles are unknown.  Selling as is.  Here is a link to NADA values: nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1988/BMW/325I/4-Door-Sedan/Values Cars/1988/BMW/325I/4-Door-Sedan/Values.

2013 BMW X1

A Tasty Bit Of Old School For The New School
Against the backdrop of fervent hand-wringing from brand purists, BMW is on the cusp of finally offering front-wheel-drive vehicles. While that's a shock to the constitution, many are pointing to the company's fine-handling Mini offerings as an article of faith that it can get this drivetrain paradigm shift right. That may be true, but there's an even more important lesson that Mini has taught the decision-makers in Munich: how to make real money on small cars.
Before Mini came along, BMW - along with seemingly every other premium European automaker - never really figured out how to coax big dollars out of American wallets without developing cars that had large footprints, at least those other than sports cars. While the automaker really got rolling in America on the strength of little bantamweights like the 2002, it veered away from small cars sometime in the '80s. BMW subsequently crashed and burned with the cut-and-shut 318ti built off its E36 3 Series and, good as it is, the 1 Series hasn't given the company meaty volume or profits, either. Among other brands, the Audi A3 has never rung up big numbers, and the less said about the painful sales figures of the Volvo C30, the better. But Mini has beat the odds, blazing a more affordable and evidently compelling trail. As of late, the company's Countryman softroader has been a massive hit worldwide. No surprise then that BMW has reconsidered bringing over its smallest softroader, the X1, to the US.

BMW M4 spied in coupe and convertible form

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

From the sound of it, we'll have to wait until the Detroit Auto Show to see the production version of the BMW M4, but spy shots show the new hi-po BMW testing recently in both coupe and convertible form. Showing a lot more skin than recent spy shots, these M4 prototypes look very similar to the M4 Concept we saw at Pebble Beach.
Carryovers from the concept car include the funky mirrors, bulging hood and the slotted front fascia vents, but the rear fascia seems to be missing the added flair of the concept and, as expected, the carbon fiber front splitter and exhaust tips are also missing from these M4s. Like the current M3 Convertible, the drop-top version of the M4 will utilize a retractable hard top.

BMW expects China to pass US as its top market in 2013

Thu, 11 Jul 2013

When you combine two billion citizens, 100 cities with more than a million inhabitants and an economy that's as unrestrained as Jim Cramer on an Adderall binge, China's explosive auto industry growth shouldn't be a huge surprise. Audi already lists the communist country as its largest market, while Mercedes-Benz is expecting it to be there in the next few years. Now, according to a report from Automotive News, BMW is expecting the People's Republic to overtake the United States in sales by the end of 2013.
We already discovered the extent that BMW is going to in establishing a dedicated Chinese stronghold, when we explored BMW's Shanghai-based DesignWorks studio ahead of April's Shanghai Motor Show. And while we argued that DesignWorks Shanghai hasn't really borne fruit, it isn't due to a lack of sales.
BMW China has seen a 16-percent jump in year-over-year sales, lead by a 28-percent gain in 5 Series sales. Part of BMW's growth strategy comes from an ever-expanding dealership network. Remember those 100 cities we mentioned with over one million people? According to Karsten Engel, CEO of BMW's Chinese operations, those 100-million-plus city dwellers don't have access to a premium dealership.
