Up for auction is a 1983 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce. While this original car has 79,000 fun loving miles on the odometer it runs fantastic, starts and drives but does need some tlc…don’t they all?? The car has an Oregon title and is not reconstructed. This is a great opportunity to own a super low mileage, reliable and sexy post modern classic Italian sports car at a super affordable price. I'm only the third owner of this car and it has been well loved and cared for. It was garaged most of its past ownership, and I have maintenance records going back to the first owner. This is in almost original condition. The plastic for the back window is in great shape, and the soft top almost pristine.
Shipping is the buyers responsibility. I will not deliver the car to a third party without prior verbal and written arrangements. Vehicle must be paid for in full within 7 business days of auction close. A $500 deposit is due within 2 business days of auction close. Paypal is preferred.

Get lost in Evo's sublime 2013 Car of the Year testing
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Every year Evo stages its Car of the Year test, bringing the best performance cars in the world to one location for an epic shootout. This year the magazine pitted eight CotY finalists against each other on Route Napoleon in Southern France - Evo claims it's the "best road in the world" - and then proceeded to nitpick the smallest of faults on each car until the winner could be named. You see, this year's lineup of machines was just so good that only one car obviously wasn't CotY material from the get-go. Can you guess which one judging from the list below?
- Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
- Audi R8 V10 Plus
Marchionne offers belated apology for 'wop engine' comment
Wed, 22 May 2013Automotive News reports Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has issued a written apology for his comments regarding his decision to stick with an Italian engine for the upcoming Alfa Romeo 4C. As you may recall, back in January, Marchionne was quoted as saying, "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it has to be a wop engine." The CEO penned an apology to the Italian American ONE VOICE Coalition for using the racial epithet, saying that he made the comment in jest. Marchionne also said he realizes his remarks were unacceptable.
ONE VOICE, an organization aimed at fighting discrimination and stereotyping of Italian Americans, thanked Marchionne, Chrysler and Fiat for the apology. Marchionne is an Italian-born Canadian citizen, and he's gotten in trouble for other comments in the past. In 2011, he called high interest rates Chrysler was paying to the Canadian government "shyster rates." He apologized a day later.
Marchionne on Alfa's US return, Dodge Dart's powertrain weakness and minivan plans
Fri, 18 Jan 2013As a reporter covering an auto show, the one opportunity you never want to miss is going to the Sergio Marchionne press briefing.
"This undertaking to bring Alfa back is a one-shot deal... We are not going to do this twice."
There just aren't that many real characters left in the auto industry. Marchionne, who sits atop both Chrysler and Fiat, is not only one of the smartest execs in the business, but also the most frank. Herein, a sample of the quotable always-sweatered executive:
