I am finally ready to let her go! This is a 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe! It has a 1600 Dual Port engine, and a 4 speed manual transmission. It is a great car that spent it's entire life in California, until we moved back here. The interior is in great shape. It has 4 new tires, with less than 100 miles on them. New rotors, and pads in the front. New battery. It doesn't need anything to be a daily driver, although that is not what it has been. I have only had her out a hand full of times, to shows and to car cruises. These are only going to go up in value, and have been for the last few years. It has a little surface rust on drivers door, from some old body work. I purchased a perfect, complete door for her years ago, and it will go with her. I also have a complete set of german glass that will go with her. This is the last one of 6 Ghias that I've owned, so your the lucky one that will get extras, that really are worth a ton of money, for basically free. The car alone is worth the asking price. It has a perfect NEVER hit nose, which is like finding a unicorn! It is the only one I've ever had, that's why I kept her. It has an older repaint, and slight body work here and there, but looks great from 10 feet away. With a little body work and a new paint job($1500), this is a 10-12K car all day long. Sorry for all the numbers, it's just that the last time I thought about selling her I had to explain to a lot of people what it was, and what it was worth. This is the best year, hands down, 12 Volt system, and Disc brakes, and still the cool bumpers, and smaller tail lights. Everything works as it should, but understand, it is 43 years old! Volkswagen Golf Wagon leaked ahead of official unveiling

Wagons ho! These three images of the upcoming Volkswagen Golf Wagon have leaked online ahead of the car's official debut, which may very well be at the Geneva Motor Show. Looking over the photos doesn't really bring any surprises - after all, this is a VW Golf with a wagon rear end grafted on, or basically what we expect next Jetta SportWagen will be.
We can only share these three images at this time, but fret not, folks. There's little doubt that all the details and images will be flowing from Volkswagen in short order. In the meantime, click on the images above to view them in high resolution.

Volkswagen Touareg hybrid axed for 2016

Volkswagen is axing the Touareg hybrid for the 2016 model year. At a starting price of $67,905 (after $910 destination), the 2015 version sat at the top of the Touareg range, but it didn't offer significantly improved fuel economy for the extra money. The hybrid was only three miles per gallon city and one mpg highway better than the base V6. Another hurdle for potential buyers: the entry-level diesel had even better highway mileage and cost over $14,000 less. Earlier this year, Nissan made a similar decision to scrap the Pathfinder hybrid, and the future for the QX60 hybrid is murky. Volkswagen has a few other adjustments in store for the 2016 Touareg. The biggest change is that the whole lineup sees about $2,000 sliced off the price. According to Car and Driver, the adjustment knocks $2,090 off the base price to bring things to $42,705. In addition, the Lux and Executive trims now get standard 14-way power adjustable and ventilated seats, and the two of them are also offered with new, 21-inch wheels. The Executive also now gets power adjustment on the steering column and a suite of safety tech, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, and lane departure warning. Volkswagen Caddy gets the Alltrack treatment for Frankfurt

We've seen Alltrack versions of the VW Golf and Passat. The German automaker's commercial vehicles division has even done a concept version of the Multivan with a similar treatment. And now it's taking that same rugged off-road approach with the Caddy van. The new Caddy Alltrack starts off with the latest, fourth-generation city van revealed earlier this year in Geneva, and beefs it up to replace the previous Cross Caddy. That comes down principally to black trim on the wheel arches, side sills, bumpers, and underbody protection with metallic accents. It also packs unique 17-inch alloys, fog lights, chrome trim on the grille, silver roof rails, a new optional beige metallic paint (pictured), and Alltrack logos galore. The interior has similarly been worked over with unique trim. Though no mention has been made of any suspension upgrades, the Caddy Alltrack can be specified with 4Motion all-wheel drive. Prospective buyers (in markets where VW offers its commercial vehicles line) will also have to choose between passenger and panel van body-styles, and between four diesel and three gasoline engine options. They range in output from 74 to 123 horsepower and come mated to manual or dual-clutch transmissions with five, six, or seven gears.
