1982 Volkwagen Vanagon. Made in Germany!
1.6 Na Diesel. Original. These are VERY rare. Only imported to the US in 82, and a few in 83. I believe there were only about 2000 of them. So this is or will be a collectors car.
Runs Amazingly! gets about 27 mpg... for a van that is great (the gas ones only get about 17) Body isn't perfect but good and straight. Runs on biodiesel or diesel. Has all new fuel lines for biodiesel. Also will run on Filtered Veg oil (Svo Wvo) from the heated aux tank.
4 speed manual works great. No power options (Meaning No power options to fix!)
THE GOOD!
New Timing Belt, New Water Pump, New Head Gasket, Rebuilt Fuel Injector Pump, New Fuel Lines, New Injectors Nozzles, New Muffler, New Radiator, and Radiator Hoses, Radiator/Coolant Flush, Cleaned Fuel Tank and replaced all Seals, New Glow Plugs, New Air filter, and more All about 4k ago.

New Battery, New Glow Plug Wiring Harness, New Glow Plug Relay, All New Belts, and New Accerator Cable, New Side View Mirrors, New Wiper Blades. Oil & filter Change, Fuel Filter Change, All this past Winter/Spring
With records
Transmission and Clutch work Great
Tires still have lots of treat.
Brake Pads are still at about 80+%.
Swivel captain's chairs. Screen for the back hatch.
New Cd player and bigger back Speakers, Ipod/Iphone charger/hookup for radio
I've owned it for about 4 yrs and love it. And as you can see put a lot of love into it.
Oregon tags are good till 12-2014. Clean, clear title in hand.
Paid $6900 for it, and I've put about $7000 worth of work into it. I've also only put about 6K miles on it.
So this is a great deal!
Needs:
-Paint job
-new fan motor for the cabin heater before next winter. About $140. Unless you don't mind being cold.
-Dash light
*Also has a professionally installed Greasecar Vegetable Fuel Systems svo/wvo 10 gal heated aux tank. System works great, but the actual tank has a slow leak that will need to be repaired. Easy welding fix. This system cost around $1700 and is very nice and easy to use. And it works great, but will need the tiny hole in tank fixed. Save a ton $ with this!!!
Ready to go for summer adventures and camping. Oh yah full size bed in back (reupholstered), and popup bed up top.
No stove/fridge/sink.... just more room inside and less weight. I've fit 3 full size bikes in there!
Thanks,
Johnny

VW admits 430,000 2016 models have implausible CO2 ratings
Mon, Nov 16 2015Volkswagen finally explained more details about its CO2 rating scandal in Europe and admitted that 430,046 of the estimated 800,000 affected vehicles with "implausible" figures came from the 2016 model year. They included some from Audi, Seat, Skoda, VW, and VW Commercial Vehicles, according to the automaker's list (as a PDF). The problem mostly impacts diesel engines, but the inventory also shows some gasoline mills. VW will next determine the accurate CO2 emissions for these vehicles, and the German Federal Vehicle and Transport Authority will supervise that process to ensure the data's veracity. The automaker will also launch websites in Europe to let owners enter their model's VIN to check whether it's affected. Because governments there often link vehicle taxes and CO2 production, the company promises to work with regulators in each country to cover any fees that result from the inaccurate figures. VW announced the CO2 scandal earlier in November and estimated the equivalent of $2.2 billion to fix it at the time. A later report claimed that a group of engineers were responsible for fabricating the emissions data. They allegedly couldn't meet reduction goals from Martin Winterkorn, and between 2013 and this spring the workers did things like overinflate the tires during testing to achieve the desired results. VW is also closer to a fix in the diesel emissions scandal. According to an anonymous insider to Bloomberg, the company has a repair for the 1.6-liter engine that's reportedly neither very complex nor expensive. German regulators would still need to approve the solution before it could roll out to owners. Next step in clarifying the CO2 issue Affected Volkswagen Group models of the current model year have been identified Customers being informed via website Discussions with the authorities have begun The Volkswagen Group reports that the vehicles of the 2016 model year affected by the CO2 issue have been identified. There is thus now clarity about the new vehicles of the current model year out in the marketplace. On 3 November 2015, the Group had already reported that irregularities may have arisen in determining the CO2 figures for type approval of around 800,000 vehicles. This was identified during its own currently ongoing investigations and had been made public. The internal investigations into the current vehicles of the 2016 model year provide results for narrowing down the actually affected vehicles with implausible CO2 figures.

Lamborghini and Bentley may hold off on SUVs so VW can conserve cash
Thu, 11 Oct 2012After surveying the European economic scene, Volkswagen may have decided now is not the time to launch utility vehicles with Bentley and Lamborghini badges. Bentley officials say they will continue to push for support for the EXP 9 F and Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelman has said planning for the Urus will continue until VW tells it to stop.
That decision could come on November 23, when VW's board will vote on the company's budget for equipment, factories and vehicles. With VW's sales slowing and the Euro economy slumping further, some industry watchers say the company is more likely to build its cash reserves than to introduce super-expensive luxury SUVs or crossovers.
"Such vehicles are anything but obligatory during a crisis," says Frankfurt-based Equinet AG analyst Tim Schuldt in a new Automotive News Europe story. "Delaying their launch would be no drama but help save costs."
