PLEASE READ ALL OF THE AUTOCHECK REPORT-Much like a credit check can be inaccurate and NOT reflect "Current status"-back in 2003 with a prior owner(not me) my VW Beetle was involved in a front end collision but the motor has never been damaged or compromised. In the over 5 years I have owned it and have have it tagged, insured and still registered with a Commonwealth of Virginia title in my possession and I had no problem registering this car with a "then PA title",so neither will you.* BOTH my registration and inspection are good through 12/2014
*I have 100% feedback and I have my item listed locally for sale in Virginia.
*I would be glad to answer any question before you bid in emails or on the phone..
*I have this listed to sell locally, and I reserve the right to end the listing here anytime.  Thanks for taking the time to read my full listing.

FOR ALL INTERESTED PARTIES:
*I have had in my possession for over 5 years since I have owned this vehicle a title from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Motor Vehicle that references the rebuilt VW just about 10 years ago in PA
*On the legal Commonwealth of Virginia title it states: Under Other pertinent data it states: OS  PA Brand.
*I did NOT have any problem with what was a PA title registering and tagging my VW in the state of Virginia-over 5 years ago.
*I bought this car at at an auction in Virginia over 5 years ago and at the time the vehicle had about 65,000 miles and the title I received at the auction was a PA title that I found out later that the Beetle has been in an accident  back in 2002,
and I guess the car had a rebuilt title from PA.
*But I did not have any trouble getting the clear Virginia title I have in my hand, and I would be glad to send you a photo copy of it-if you purchase car from me.
*The Common wealth of Virginia is pretty particular about if there are title problems and I had no issues with registering and tagging, and titling this car in the state of Virginia.

*I'm selling my 2000 VW Beetle that has only 112,640 miles. It is a 5 speed and gets 30MPG on the highway.
*You will not find a better running 2000 VW Beetle with a 2.0 engine.
*You will get my "Clean Virginia Title" on this VW Beetle
*I priced the car much below the lowest Fair condition, because it will be needing tries soon even though the car is certainly driveable.  I drive it regularly!
*I also replaced the exhaust pipe and although the car runs strong the check engine light does come on and stay on-and that is because I have not replaced the oxygen sensors.  It does not effect fuel economy.
*I also had the timing belt and water pump replaced before 100,000 so unlike most other VW Beetles over 100,000-you don't want the timing belt to go out on a Beetle!
*The inside of the bug I have used to haul furniture, flea market items so the inside needs a major cleaning and seat covers-Actually you would be amazed what can get in the inside of a VW Bug
-I actually hauled a decent size oak dresser from Binghamton,NY to Fairfax,Va,with the front seat out of the bug and the back seats folded down.

OTHER NOTES:  The car is over 14 years old, and I guess dependent on what you consider the most important parts of buying a car over 10 years old are.
*I believe the most important is the motor of the vehicle first and this 2.0 Motor has had nothing but Mobil 1 full synthetic in it, and it does burn or leak oil.
*I put a new Interstate battery in towards the end of last year.
*If I would be keeping the bug for myself I would be replacing the radiator because this winter I damaged the front spoiler and for the first time ever I have had to add antifreeze, every few day-either when it has been sitting-so it must be slow leaking out the radiator but it has never overheated on me.
*I hope it is ok that I am kinda putting my thoughts down as I am hesitating with listing this VW because it has been a very, very reliable vehicle for me, and if it was not for me driving my Dodge Cummins Diesel 6 speed, and also the need to have to invest more money in a home I have recently bought-I would not sell, and "many of my friends have told me"-that I should not sell it.

*But all that being said I wanted to be upfront with all of the many strong points of the car but because of listing the selling price well below even the FAIR Kelly Blue book which this car is higher then that because of the strong motor,5speed, and well maintained 112,600 miles.

***Feel free to ask me any additional questions or if you send me a question and then want to talk to me on a phone,I would then be glad to give you my cell phone number.

***I live about 1 hour west of Wash DC off I66 in beautiful Linden,Va
which is near Front Royal and south of Winchester,Va if you want to come and check out the VW before you bid.
Please just send me an message and I'll give you my cell phone number-Thanks

*Kelly Blue Book with 113,000 miles and selling to Private individuals values it
at $2276.00 in FAIR CONDITION-and this VW has a very strong engine!
*This car is in better condition then Fair!

*Kelly Blue Book with 113,000 miles and selling to Private individuals values it
at $2676.00 in GOOD CONDITION-and this VW has a very strong engine!

*The following 24 pictures of my VW were taken today 8-21-2014!

YouTube's Super Bowl commercial buzz list dominated by automakers [w/videos]

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

After Sunday's big game, YouTube will be the place to watch every commercial that you missed when you left your seat for an emergency guac refill or, as we say in Cleveland, took the Browns to the Super Bowl. That makes YouTube the nation's water cooler on Monday, and it's got some preliminary stats to share in the lead up to kickoff.
As you know, Super Bowl advertisers, particularly automakers, like to endlessly tease their big budget commercials in the weeks before the game, many times revealing them outright days in advance. Because of this, YouTube can tell us which commercials have been viewed the most so far, and their top five list is all automakers.
Kaley Cuoco appears to have been a good investment for Toyota, as her ad for the RAV4 has garnered the most YouTube views - six million and counting - among Super Bowl commercials so far. Second place goes to Mercedes-Benz, though not its actual Super Bowl commercial, but rather the teaser for it. You know, the one with Kate Upton and the car washing, which is up to 5.6 million views. Third place is Audi's Prom commercial (3.3M views), fourth goes to Volkswagen's slightly controversial Get In, Get Happy ad (3.3M views), and the fifth and final spot is bookended by the teaser video for Kaley Cuoco's commercial (3.2M views). You can watch all five in order below.

How should Volkswagen deal with its diesel problems?

Mon, Sep 21 2015

The hounds of hell are bearing down on Volkswagen in the wake of allegations of cheating on diesel emissions testing. In just a single day, Volkswagen's stock has dropped 23 percent and the German government has announced that it is going to investigate a far larger number of vehicles over emissions violations. The American storm is quickly becoming a global one. Volkswagen sells over a million diesel vehicles a year and also has more than 13 percent of the automotive market overall – it was the number one automaker in the world up until the scandal. Yet in a matter of hours, Volkswagen has also become a pariah with potential fines and recalls that may be dwarfed by how the alleged lies and deceit change how governments and consumers view the company. Consumers are really going to be the key to the company's survival. It's those consumers who are really going to be the key to the company's survival. Every single one of them now finds themselves with a product that was sold illegally and may not be registered until recall work is done. What's worse is that Volkswagen doesn't yet have a solution for the emissions issue to offer these customers. It should also be noted that this is not the first time Volkswagen has found itself in violation of EPA emission regulations. Volkswagen is in a world of trouble, so what now? As a car dealer and former financial analyst who took several companies public, I believe Volkswagen can and should consider three points of action that would make an enduring difference in the times to come. 1. Offer affected TDI owners a compelling reason to stay with the brand. Recall work and a cup of coffee at the dealership are not going to be enough to placate current owners. Volkswagen should provide compensation for customers at the earliest opportunity and offer some type of inducement that keeps them within the fold. This shouldn't be the industry's version of a Chuck E. Cheese coupon - a small discount on a new vehicle. Volkswagen needs to offer something along the lines of a strong warranty extension of the entire powertrain (not just the emissions system) or some type of valuable feature upgrade for these vehicles so that owners feel that they have been treated fairly. Perhaps a combination of a brand new navigation system, software upgrades for the infotainment components, or some type of basic free WiFi service would be a healthy act of generosity.

Volkswagen Group's Vision 2030 strategy could bring revolution to the brands

Sat, May 11 2019

One would expect a corporate plan called "Vision 2030," looking 11 years ahead through wildly tumultuous times, to involve great change and numerous forks in numerous roads. According to Automobile's breakdown of Volkswagen's path forward, though, the plans contain some lurid potential surprises. The ultimate aim is return on investment, and that means ruthless reorganization of a conglomerate with eight primary car brands, two car sub-brands, and Ducati motorcycles. The first two Vision 2030 cornerstones Automobile mentions are near boilerplate: Production network restructuring, and "streamlining of key technologies." The latter two are the ones that could upend what we know as the Volkswagen Group: focusing on the Group's core brands — meaning Audi, Porsche, and VW — and transitioning to EVs, autonomy, and other mobility solutions. Based on the report, a quote from Audi's CTO referring to the Audi brand could cover how the Group plans to handle all of its brands: "We need to find a sustainable solution for the indefinite transition period until EVs eventually take over." The boutique divisions adjacent to carmaking, Ducati and Italdesign, look likely to be spun off. For the halo car brands — Bentley, Bugatti, and Lamborghini — apparently shareholders want double-digit returns on investment, and the trio doesn't have long to hit the target. One eyebrow raiser is when the report states, "Bugatti is tipped to be gifted to [ex-VW Group Chairman] Ferdinand Piech." Piech fathered the Veyron during his tenure at VW, and it was thought he commissioned the La Voiture Noire, but he's lately stepped so far back from VW that he sold all his shares in the Group. Automobile quoted a senior strategist as saying of money-losing Bentley, "Why invest on a backward-looking enterprise when you can support a trendsetter? A proud history and excellent craftmanship alone don't cut it anymore." We guess no one at Ferrari, McLaren, or even Porsche got that memo. Bentley is reportedly close to being put in time out, and if brand CEO Adrian Hallmark can't right the Crewe ship, the hush-hush Plan B is to prop the Flying B up enough to lure a buyer. As for Lamborghini, caught between two masters at Audi and Porsche, even record-breaking numbers at the Italian supercar maker barely staved off sacrilege. It's said that VW brand CEO Herbert Diess considered putting a 5.0-liter Porsche V8 into the Aventador successor.
