1969 Convertible Vw Karmann Ghia -** No Reserve on 2040-cars

This 1969 vw convertible Karmann Ghia is in good shape with 80,000 miles on it. It has been stored indoors for the past 10 yrs (since I've owned it) and was re-painted 7 yrs ago and had new floor panels welded in. The body still looks great. It runs fine but could probably use some TLC. The breakline broke 2weeks ago during a test drive. I have a new replacement one but you'll have to replace it yourself after purchase. The interior is in a good shape with new carpet, no rips or tears in seats or upholstery. The front dash is in great shape with no cracks. The top and headliner are not in great shape (look at the pictures for details) but it only goes up when you're caught in the rain. I have the rear window but have never installed it myself.

Lamando is Chinese for VW Jetta CC [w/video]
Sun, 31 Aug 2014Volkswagen is not messing around when it characterizes its new MQB architecture as modular. It's already underpinning the VW Golf, Audi A3, Seat Leon and Skoda Octavia, and will soon form the basis for many more. And here is the latest.
Unveiled at the Chengdu Motor Show in China this weekend is the new Volkswagen Lamando, a four-door coupe similar in size to a Jetta but with the svelter roofline of the larger Passat-based CC to go after the Mercedes-Benz CLA. It's essentially the production version of the New Midsize Coupe concept that previewed its arrival at the Beijing Motor Show this past April, and will be built locally for local consumption by VW's joint venture with SAIC.
Power comes from either a 1.4- or 2.0-liter turbo four mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with an equivalent price tag below $30,000. Whether this or any similar vehicle ever arrives in North American showrooms remains to be seen, but we'll be watching to find out. 2014 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible gets the R-Line treatment
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Volkswagen just launched the topless Beetle Convertible at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, but we're already seeing the next step forward in the topless Bug range with this, the R-Line. We'll admit, this treatment falls under the "all show and no go" category, but it's still a pretty potent little cutie.
The R-Line starts with a standard Beetle Turbo Convertible but adds unique 19-inch aluminum wheels on lower-profile tires, LED daytime running lamps and Xenon headlamps. Naturally, there are R-Line badges aplenty both on the interior and exterior, and we must say, the whole package looks pretty darn snazzy.
Pricing has yet to be announced, but when it goes on sale later this year, the hotter convertible will join Volkswagen's growing R-Line portfolio that now includes the CC, Beetle hatch, Tiguan and Touareg.
