For sale is 2011 VW EOS convertible. It comes with 6 spd automatic, power windows, doors mirrors, A/C, cruise, heated seats, iPod hook up, aluminum wheels and ABS. The vehicle has only 19800 miles and it is practically a brand new car. The car is in perfect working condition and it looks like a brand new car inside and outside. As a matter of fact the car is so perfect that I would lower $100 for everything you do not like about the car from my original buy now price. This vehicle does around 35mpg on the highway and around 29-30mpg city driving. However we bought this vehicle from an insurance company and it was damaged on the front, but in drivable condition. We have replaced the hood, radiator support, left fender, headlight and bumper cover. We operate a professional body shop that has been in business of restoring salvage vehicle for over 10 years. We are the largest salvage rebuilder in Charlotte and on one of the largest in NC. We work according to factory specifications and measurements all our cars go thru alignment once they are fixed. Our pictures are taken from close proximity so you can see the car in details. We would also give you a month of warranty on engine transmission and frame of the vehicle with the buy now price of $16700. Also if within this one month the car shows any major mechanical problems and you decide that this deal was not good for you, you can return the car to us and we would refund all the money that you have paid us. We inspect all our vehicles before we list them for sale and we make sure that all the liquids are changed and that everything is in perfect order. We go thru the same list that the dealer would go to certify a vehicle. There is no difference between this car and a certified vehicle from VW. The only difference is the 6-7 thousand dollars in the price. However this car is a good purchase for someone who wants to save a bunch of money and in the same time would not compromise on the quality of the car. We have gone thru all state inspections and the car comes with salvage rebuilt title, meaning that you can register and insure this vehicle in any state without any problems. We have taken 2 picture of the cluster, one showing that all service lights are in place and second when the car is started and you can see that there are no service lights. Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war
Sun, 30 Dec 2012A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
2014 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible gets the R-Line treatment
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Volkswagen just launched the topless Beetle Convertible at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, but we're already seeing the next step forward in the topless Bug range with this, the R-Line. We'll admit, this treatment falls under the "all show and no go" category, but it's still a pretty potent little cutie.
The R-Line starts with a standard Beetle Turbo Convertible but adds unique 19-inch aluminum wheels on lower-profile tires, LED daytime running lamps and Xenon headlamps. Naturally, there are R-Line badges aplenty both on the interior and exterior, and we must say, the whole package looks pretty darn snazzy.
Pricing has yet to be announced, but when it goes on sale later this year, the hotter convertible will join Volkswagen's growing R-Line portfolio that now includes the CC, Beetle hatch, Tiguan and Touareg.
Car companies may need to start curbing model proliferation

BMW alone offers its 3 Series platform in practically every segment possible, including the regular sedan and 4 Series Gran Coupe, which would seem to be direct competitors. Porsche might be the winner, though, with 20 different variants of the 911 listed for sale on its US website. However, some of this model madness might be reaching an end as companies begin cutting back spending or shifting money to other priorities.
According to Yahoo Finance, the offerings from the German automakers are up 25 percent over the past three years to over 200 models in Europe. The peak is expected to come around 2018 at 230 separate vehicles, according to consulting company PwC.
Amazingly, BMW, which is among the poster children for this model explosion, might be changing its tune. "I'm sure there will be points in the future where we look at certain cars and say, 'Maybe we need to think differently now,'" said head of sales Ian Robertson in an interview, according to Yahoo Finance. The statement certainly sounds shocking coming from a company rumored to have 23 front-wheel-drive vehicles all using a single platform on the way.
