Selling my 2001 VW Cabrio GLS. I purchased this last year from the original owner with 89000 miles on the odometer. This car is very clean and has been well kept and maintained, and it runs and drives perfectly. Always garage kept. All maintenance is current. Just passed NJ inspection. Has only 90,200 miles. Top is in excellent shape but stays down as it is only used on good days. Paint is almost perfect, a few parking lot blemishes but you have to look close to see them. Heated leather seats, power drivers seat in excellent condition, power top, and automatic transmission. everything works as it should. I am selling as we just don't drive it enough to justify keeping it on insurance. Bad day for taking pictures as it was raining, but if you are interested I can send you some better shots once the weather clears and i can get it out of the garage into the sunlight. The Volkswagen Beetle was always envisioned as a cheap mode of transportation, but now one is being offered for over $1 million by a dealer in the company's home base of Wolfsburg, Germany. So just what makes this Beetle so special? It's not the first one made, and it's not the last one made – but it comes close: This particular example is an Ultima Edicion Â– one of the final Bugs made in Mexico before production ended even there in 2003. It's decked out in beige with a black fabric interior and none Â– repeat, none Â– of the bells and whistles. With less than 75 miles on the odometer, it offers one wealthy buyer the rare opportunity to get an original Beetle (not some modernized incarnation thereof) in factory-fresh condition, which no one has been able to do for over a dozen years now. Does that make it worth the million-euro ($1.1M) asking price? Not if you ask us, no. But then we wouldn't count ourselves among the most dedicated Beetle fanatics out there.
