Hi guys,
Exclusively imported by vintagebusimport This bus is 99% rust free as well as all our buses. There is a little bit of rust on the cargo area (not cancer just surface rust) and on the front area as most of the buses of this age. It would be the perfect candidate for a full restoration. There are no weldings, bondo and things like that. The bus had probably a different color before but we dont know which one. You can see little cracks here and there on the body but absolutely nothing serious, the bus is absolutely dry. If there is bondo under the few cracks on the body, it is absolutely unsignificant and REALLY thin!!.(Less that 1mm) The bus is complete with its 2 rear benches ( 9 passengers on the title), starts right away, drives very well . No interior panels( which also allow you to see there is nothing hidden). The engine compartment has been degreased and just sprayed to make it cleaner only. > Registration not included ( about $700). THE BUS IS NOT REGISTERED YET AS THE FUTUR OWNER COULD BE ABROAD WHICH ALLOW US TO SHIP WITH THE CURRENT ORIGINAL TITLE AND YES it can be registered in CA. > Foreigner buyers: Please provide serious references as we do not want to waste our time with "Ghost"buyers SPECIFICATIONS: - 9 passengers bus - Rebuit 1500cc engine ( Just rebuilt and all new seal everywhere), fuel lines from the tank have been changed too - Transmission shifts perfectly and does not pop out, - Brakes work good - Electricity is 100% operational: everything on the bus work. We will add a horn button on the steering as it is missing - 2 rear new shocks - Front and rear bumpers in excellent condition - 2 new rear lenses ( US style) - All window seal are fresh and not cracked at all THINGS TO DO TO MAKE THIS BUS GORGEOUS: - New paint job: the body work is almost unsignificant. The bus is already nice but its what we would do to make it gorgeous - Upholstery - Door panels, kick panels, front floor mat Why it is a 1968 vw bus type 2 split screen ? ( Frequently asked question): Production in germany: 1950 - 1967 Production in brazil: 1950 - 1975 ( Postponed to 1975) For your references and the history of vw buses production ( Wikipedia): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Type_2 As we can deal with customers from abroad, we will be than happy to assist you the best way we can to export. Even 'basic' girls are tired of their cheating VW Jettas
Sat, Sep 26 2015Well, this didn't take long. Former Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn's office probably hasn't even been packed yet, and the jokes about his scandal-ridden former employer have already begun to fly. Today, we'll be featuring the team from Funny Or Die, which has opted to not only skewer Volkswagen for its TDIsaster, but one of the victims of the company's catastrophe – the 'basic' girl. For those not in the know, "basic," according to Urban Dictionary is an adjective reserved for someone "devoid of defining characteristics that might make a person interesting, extraordinary, or just simply worth devoting time or attention to," and that they are "lacking intelligence and unable to socialize on even an elementary level." And when it comes to basic girls, the Volkswagen Jetta is as ubiquitous as a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. But with the VW controversy, basic girls are finding their Jettas aren't so good for their green credentials. So check out Funny Or Die's take on these scorned drivers, in the video above. And fair warning, there's a bit of foul language.
US-spec 2015 Volkswagen Golf and GTI to finally debut in New York
Tue, 12 Mar 2013The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf is hardly new to us. In fact, we've already driven it. And elsewhere in the world, the new Golf is already winning awards. Even so, we still have yet to see the US-spec version of the car, though that won't be the case much longer. As part of the New York Auto Show festivities later this month, Volkswagen will finally show off the 2015 Golf models destined for our shores.
Three different versions of the Golf will debut under the lights of New York City's Javits Center: the turbocharged TSI, oil-sipping TDI and hotter GTI. The first model in that list uses Volkswagen's new 1.8-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, replacing the outgoing 2.5-liter naturally aspirated inline five-cylinder. The latter two models use familiar engines: the 2.0-liter TDI diesel and 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, respectively.
Even though the new Golf officially debuts later this month, it won't go on sale in the US until the first quarter of 2014. We'll be waiting patiently.
VW takes world sales crown from Toyota for first half of 2015
Tue, Jul 28 2015Despite uncertainty in major markets like Russia and China, Volkswagen is wearing the global sales crown for the first half of the year to overtake Toyota. Through the first six months of 2015, VW sold 5.04 million vehicles, which only narrowly beat its Japanese rival's 5.02 million, Reuters reports. The half-year trophy also placed the German brand one step closer to the goal of being the world's largest automaker. VW can't just cruise through the second half of 2015 to continue wearing the crown, though. The company is a major player in China, and that might start to be a disadvantage soon. Auto demand there is expected to be weak for the rest of the year, which could mean dire effects for companies around the world. According to Reuters, the Western European market shows few signs of a sudden surge, either. To turn things around, VW is working on a massive realignment to be more responsive by organizing its 12 brands under four separate holding companies. One factor in VW's favor is that Toyota is facing its own sales struggles across the globe. In the last fiscal year, the Japanese automaker had growing profits but actual volume was down. At the time, the company predicted a drop to 8.9 million vehicles for the current fiscal period. According to Reuters, Toyota has had problems growing in emerging markets and dealing with higher taxes on small vehicles in Japan. For all of 2014, Toyota held the sales trophy with 10.23 million sales, and VW was in second place with 10.14 million. General Motors came in third with 9.92 million. The year was the first time that VW or Toyota had ever surpassed 10 million vehicles over the stretch of a calendar. Related Video:
