1967 Vw Bus Deluxe Walk-through 13 Window on 2040-cars

1967 Deluxe walk-through 13 window VW Bus fresh from the garage where she has been hibernating since 1999...  I bought the bus in 1995 (after finding her resting in a barn for like 15 yrs) drove it for a couple years, then parked her in a garage in 1998 running and driving fine.  Recently I pulled the re-built motor for a '71 bus, other wise this bus would drive today.

If you are looking at these photos then you know what this is... other than the issues with the rocker panels this bus is virtually rust-free (for an original '67). Notice the photos of the underbody... only light surface rust, beams are 100% solid, nothing standing in the way of a stellar restoration.  Some folks are setting up these 13 window busses as 23 window clones and this is a very solid bus for such restoration.

Gas tank has been professionally sealed on the inside and painted on the outside.

Interior has been fit with custom wood panels in good shape and includes one original bench seat as well as the 2 original front seats (almost no damage).

After being heavy into busses for 20 years I have seen few original splitties in such good shape.  I hate to sell but with 2 daughters to raise I don't have the time to do the restoration she deserves.  Very rare to find such a solid bus from NC so if you are on the East coast and want a clean bus without shipping it from California then this is for you.  Clear NC title and original key.

Let the photos be your guide, let me know if you have questions or specific photo needs.

$500 paypal deposit required within 2 days of auction ending.  Only accepting in person CASH transaction for remainder of payment.  (you give me the cash, I give you the title)  Buyer arranges and pays all shipping costs if shipping desired.

** I will include front and rear bumpers for this bus for an additional $300 after sale

Piech is back (kinda) at VW

Wed, Oct 7 2015

Before the company was rocked by the diesel emissions scandal, you would've thought that the ouster of Ferdinand Piech as chairman of the Volkswagen Supervisory Board in April was the biggest corporate news from the automaker all year. After all, the longtime exec was a towering figure in the German auto industry. He wasn't gone for long, though. In a fascinating article, The Wall Street Journal breaks down how Piech is now wielding influence within the giant corporation yet again. Piech's continued sway has come in part because two people close to him have started running the company. His resignation reportedly came because Piech was supporting Matthias Muller as next group CEO, rather than Martin Winterkorn. Now, Muller has achieved exactly that role. In addition, Hans Dieter Potsch has taken over as supervisory board chairman. He's also the chief financial officer at Porsche SE, the family holding company that controls a vast swath of VW stock. "The Porsche-Piech family will exert more influence over the company in the future," an anonymous person close to the board said to The Wall Street Journal. Piech appears fully aware of his changing fortunes within the company, too. According to the WSJ, he and his wife Ursula arrived at the VW factory's main gates in a red Bentley the day after WInterkorn's resignation. If you find all of these corporate machinations fascinating, then the piece is well worth a read.

VW promises 7-seat CUV for America in 2016

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

On the eve of the Detroit Auto Show, Volkswagen chief executive Martin Winterkorn has confirmed the imminent arrival of a new crossover. The model, previewed at the same show last year by the CrossBlue concept pictured here, will be unique to the North American market when it arrives here in 2016. The new three-row, seven-seat crossover is part of an ambitious expansion plan on the part of Volkswagen and Audi in North America, where the two brands aim to sell a million vehicles by 2018.
That's a mighty big increase over the 600,000 vehicles which the Volkswagen Group sold here last year, but it's moving in the right direction: That number is already a 100-percent increase of what it sold here just five years ago. At that rate, VW should have little trouble meeting its goals, particularly with the arrival of the new crossover and the introduction of Golf production at its assembly plant in Puebla, Mexico. 10 best new car deals of November 2021

Thu, Nov 4 2021

Sales of new cars, trucks and SUVs were drastically affected in 2020 due to the (still) ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The market started to show signs of recovery toward the end of last year before really coming on strong in the early months of 2021. Of course, then pandemic-related parts and worker shortages along with global shipping constraints started running amok and causing a great deal of pricing fluctuation and a limited supply of certain vehicles. Those problems (among other things) have led to record-high new-car transaction prices in the United States. The good news is that there are still plenty of great deals on new cars. Using data provided by TrueCar, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best automotive deals for November 2021. WeÂ’ve noted the original MSRP, the average transaction price, and the total savings in both dollars and as a percentage of the original sticker price. Basically, weÂ’ve done all the hard work for you! So now, all you need to do is compare deals, go on a few test drives, and maybe drive away in a great car (and an even better bargain).
