1994 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER - 70K ORIGINAL MILES, BY OWNER, MINT CONDITION

Absolutely stunning Land Cruiser in showroom condition. Probably the lowest original mile, pristine condition Land Cruiser you will find anywhere.  I have owned Land Cruisers in the past, and I know a nice one when I see them.  I purchased this Land Cruiser in July 2012 with 67,902 miles on it.  I have driven it less than 3,000 miles in the last 14 months, as it's an extra vehicle.  We are moving to a historic home with limited garage space which is why I am unfortunately, selling it.  This Land Cruiser has had one ridiculously caring owner from brand new in 1994 until 2012, and it is quite obvious they babied the vehicle and took extreme measures to maintain its original condition.  The Land Cruiser is absolutely stunning in and out, no accidents/no paint work/non-smoker vehicle/no problems/no malfunctioning parts, etc.  You can search the entire planet and I am confident you won't find one with these miles in this condition, period.  It does not have the locking front and rear diff for those interested in that item.  It's a CA vehicle from the day it was bought new, and to be clear, it's a Sacramento vehicle which means it's been interior CA and not near the ocean.  There is no rust whatsoever.  This is a very rare find, and if you're in search of an all original low mile Land Cruiser - you've found it!

The white paint is nearly flawless, not a ding anywhere, glossy and shiny like new.  Even the rubber seals and weather-stripping around the fender flares is pristine, no dry cracking anywhere as this has been garaged and detailed at all times.  The emblems are like brand new, no fading, etc.  The interior is gray cloth, and the entire interior, seats and carpet, headliner and even the tailgate carpet, are flawless, including the Land Cruiser floor mats.  The interior smells new and clean.  The Michelin tires have tons of tread left on them, and the Land Cruiser drives perfectly.  The only item flaw-wise that I can think of is the driver's side mirror which has a very tiny amount of shake to it, but it's so miniscule that most would not even notice it.  I purchased a brand new power driver's mirror that will be included with the sale, as it's still in the box if you want to install it

The Land Cruiser has a new factory Toyota battery (Jul 2012), new power antennae (Jul 2012), all new accessory drive belts (Jul 2012), and new heater core (Jul 2012), and the most recent full detail was completed 7/31/13, just a few weeks ago, at Lexus of Sacramento.  This was the full detail that included clay exterior, engine clean, shampoo carpets, and polish and wax exterior.  There's nothing you have to do but drive this one home, as it's simply an unbelievable vehicle in immaculate condition with extraordinarily low miles.

Feel free to email with questions, as I am more than happy to respond to any inquiries.  I have TONS of photos and more than happy to share with serious buyers, so email me on that if interested.  If you'd like to have it professionally inspected, please feel free to have this completed and I will do my best to accommodate with that.  If you need a ride from the airport I'm more than happy to assist as well, or with any potential shipping company, etc.  A $1,000 deposit is due within 24 hours of winning bid, and the remainder, as well as vehicle pick up, is due within 4 days following auction end.  Best of luck with the bidding, and please, no zero feedback or negative feedback bids as they will be deleted.  I reserve the right to end auction early if needed.  Thanks for your interest!

Toyota gives a free RAV4 to 50-millionth customer [w/video]

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

Not surprisingly, the 50-millionth Toyota product sold in the US was a Camry, but Toyota had a big surprise in store for Michael Dee, the buyer of said milestone vehicle. Toyota group vice president Bill Fay showed up at Dee's house to not only personally thank him for the purchase, but also completely paid off that brand new Camry, presenting the owner with a clear title.
But that wasn't all. As you can tell from the image above, Fay had one more trick up his sleeve. The group VP brought along a brand new 2013 Toyota RAV4, which was also presented to Dee in appreciation. The best part is that Dee's genuine amazement was all caught on video, which is posted below.

Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid and EV Buyer's Guide: Which one do you want?

Fri, Nov 10 2017

If you're shopping for a new vehicle these days, there's a litany of acronyms, buzzwords, and technobabble to further complicate an already difficult decision. But if you're looking at a green powertrain, you have three basic choices to compare: hybrid, plug-in hybrid and "EV" or, electric vehicle. So what are they and which one — if any — is right for you? Research your next new vehicle using Autoblog's Car Finder. Gasoline-Electric Hybrids By now, most people are familiar with the concept of a hybrid car. Thank Toyota's Prius for that. At its most basic, a hybrid vehicle has two powertrains, one gasoline and one electric, which work together for maximum efficiency. At low speeds, the engine can shut off entirely, relying solely on the battery for propulsion. The battery is either charged as you drive by converting kinetic energy into potential energy via a complex regenerative braking system, or directly off of the gas motor. This is a very hands-off, behind-the-scenes system as all the driver has to is put in gas and drive as normal. Hybrids come in all shapes and sizes and, according to the EPA, range in fuel economy from 58 mpg for the Hyundai Ioniq Blue all the way down to 13 mpg for the Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta. Best For: Anyone who want to see their fuel consumption go down without many sacrifices. You can easily find a hybrid sedan, hatchback, crossover, SUV or even a pickup truck (i f you can find one). Best of all, a hybrid requires no special equipment to be installed at home, or added work for the driver. Hybrids do cost more than traditionally-powered competitors, so make sure to compare projected fuel savings with how much extra a hybrid will cost – it may take a surprisingly long time to break even. The EPA provides a handy calculator for this very purpose. Our Favorite Hybrids: 2017 Toyota Prius 2018 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid Plug-In Hybrids Sometimes referred to as a PHEV, or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, this is a baby-step towards full electrification. Armed with a much larger battery pack than a hybrid, PHEVs can go between 12 ( Mercedes-Benz GLE550e) and 97 ( BMW i3 w/Range Extender) miles on electricity alone depending on the model and your driving style. Like a normal hybrid, the driver is largely unaware of which power source is currently in use, even as they switch over — either because the battery is drained, or the driving circumstances require more power.
