This car has been wonderful to me. Has always just needed the recommended maintenance which I have all records of. Always locally owned (I am the second owner). If you have any questions please email me.

Bought this car a little less than 4 years ago... It was a one owner before me and always local. When I purchased the car it had 82,000 miles on it. It now has 143,000 miles. I love that the car is so safe with many airbags and steering wheel controls for the climate control and stereo. Also, the headlights are automatic HID lights and also have self-adjusting leveler so they move up and down based on incline or decline.

Had them do an inspection in the service department at Toyota and they say the car is in great condition and does not need anything.

Over the time I have owned it I have replaced the rotors and pads all around, air filter, cabin filter, and tires are brand new Bridgestone Turanza Serenity that have lifetime rotation at any Tires Plus location.

Never had any issues. It actually surprises me that I never have to replace anything on the car. It has a timing chain not a timing belt so that never has to be replaced. Does not leak at all and motor runs and sounds very strong. Great gas mileage (I average around 25-27 and do about 50/50 highway/city) for having a 268HP 3.5L motor. Transmission shifts very smoothly and fluid is still good.

Here are some of the great features: - 4 Wheel ABS - Traction Control - Side Airbags - Dual Front Airbags - Moonroof - Leather Interior - Dual Power Seats - JBL Premium 7 Speaker Sound System - Compact Disc - Alloy Wheels

Asian automakers still reluctant to use more aluminum

Tue, Jun 24 2014

There's a logical progression of technology in the auto industry. We've seen it with things like carbon-ceramic brakes, which use to be the sole domain of six-figure sports cars, where they often cost as much as an entry level Toyota Corolla. Now, you can get them on a BMW M3 (they're still pricey, at $8,150). Who knows, maybe in the next four a five years, they'll be available on something like a muscle car or hot hatchback. Aluminum has had a similar progression, although it's further along, moving from the realm of Audi and Jaguar luxury sedans to Ford's most important product, the F-150. With the stuff set to arrive in such a big way on the market, we should logically expect an all-aluminum Toyota Camry or Honda Accord soon, right? Um, wrong. Reuters has a great report on what's keeping Asian manufacturers away from aluminum, and it demonstrates yet another stark philosophical difference between automakers in the east and those in the west. Of course, there's a pricing argument at play. But it's more than just the cost of aluminum sheet (shown above) versus steel. Manufacturing an aluminum car requires extensive retooling of existing factories, not to mention new relationships with suppliers and other logistical and financial nightmares. Factor that in with what Reuters calls Asian automaker's preference towards "evolutionary upgrades," and the case for an all-aluminum Accord is a difficult one. Instead, manufacturers in the east are focusing on developing even stronger steel as a means of trimming fat, although analysts question how long that practice can continue. Jeff Wang, the automotive sales director for aluminum supplier Novelis, predicts that we'll see a bump in aluminum usage from Japanese and Korean brands in the next two to three years, and that it will be driven by an influx of aluminum-based vehicles from western automakers into China. Only time will tell if he's proven right. News Source: ReutersImage Credit: Sean Gallup / Getty Images Plants/Manufacturing Honda Hyundai Mazda Nissan Toyota Technology aluminum

Toyota demos its TRD Pro Series line [w/video]

Fri, 07 Feb 2014

With a rich history of creating off-road worthy trucks and SUVs and a somewhat bland impression of its brand overall, Toyota has wisely created a line of TRD Pro Series vehicles to spice up its showrooms and newly engage customers. Debuting at this year's Chicago Auto Show before rolling into dealers this fall, the TRD-tuned vehicles include the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra, all with added rough-road gear and amped-up looks.
The TRD Pro Series trucks might end up, in many cases, as lifestyle accessories for outdoorsy types, but that doesn't mean they're all show. TRD springs and Bilstein dampers are set up for off-road performance, while skid plates will protect the softish underbellies of these would-be rock-crawlers. The trio all get lifted over stock height, as well, with two-inch gains for the Tundra and Tacoma (lovingly referred to as "Taco Supreme" in the Toyota press release), and an inch-and-a-half rise for the 4Runner.
We detailed all of the changes to the Pro Series vehicles in our original announcement post, and you'll also find more granularity of information in the Toyota press release below. Before you dive in, however, be sure to take in our set of live, action-packed images from the Chicago Show floor.
