Up for grabs is my originally purchased 2007 Toyota Yaris!  This car is mechanically perfect and  near-perfect cosmetically.  New breaks put on 04/22/14 (front and back), tune-up on 04/23/14 and NEW TIRES installed on 04/22/14!!  Oh yeah, also had oil changed on 04/24/14!  This car needs nothing and runs like it was new! This Toyota has been serviced by the local Toyota dealership for all recall issues and professionally fixed in accordance with the highest Toyota standards!

I bought this car off the showroom floor in 2007 and gave it to my son in 2013.  Last week he gave it back to me and I had all the service work done in preparation for my daughter to drive it to school and back. (shit happens).  GREAT COMMUTER CAR.   Car gets 35 MILES PER GALLON!!   Please take a close look and schedule a test drive if you are in the area.  The NJ inspection sticker is good though 09/14 (I tried to have it inspected early as an additional selling feature, but the DMV said I could not)!  I know it would have passed all inspections with no problems!!''  A new clutch was installed in 2013!  This car runs perfectly!!

This car was professionally detailed on 05/01/14 so you can expect the interior to be flawless!  There are no stains in the back seat (old picture taken before professional detail).  the interior is absolutely flawless.

This is a perfect family car or first car for a student (*if they can drive a stick shift).  It looks great and also gets fantastic gas mileage.  at the dealership this car is priced at $6000 and more! (and they don't come with a guarantee)!  I bought this car for my daughter and would not sell it if it was not in perfect condition..  drive it for yourself....

$6,400 minimum price from a dealer according to Kbb.com   http://www.kbb.com/toyota/yaris/2007-toyota-yaris/s-sedan-4d/?condition=good&vehicleid=84302&intent=buy-used&mileage=123000&category=sedan&options=1776433%7ctrue&pricetype=retail&persistedcondition=very-good

My price is MUCH LESS!!

DISCLOSURE:  there is a small "shopping cart" dent on the passenger rear side panel (see picture).

This car has always run great and never let me down.  It is a TOYOTA so I expect with continued good care the car will last another 200K miles!

The interior was professionally detailed.  It is in absolute perfect condition (like the rest of the car).

I have recently listed this car locally and will take the first winning bid.

2019 Toyota Corolla vs. compact hatchbacks: How they compare

Mon, Apr 30 2018

So you've read what we thought about the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback. Oh, you didn't? Well, click to your left, we'll still be here. Just made some coffee, we're good for a while. Welcome back! Wasn't that riveting? The blue paint sure is bright, eh? Well, now you must be wondering how that new 2019 Corolla stacks up with all the other hatchbacks. And, despite long thinking that hatchbacks were doomed, there are actually quite a lot of them these days. So many, in fact, that we couldn't fit them all in our space-limited comparison chart. So, with apologies to the Hyundai Elantra GT, Kia Forte and the dead-man-walking Ford Focus, these were the cars we chose based on sales and competitiveness: the Honda Civic Hatchback, Mazda3 5-Door, Volkswagen Golf, Chevrolet Cruze and Subaru Impreza. We also included the outgoing Corolla iM for reference. If you think we've left something of interest out, you can always create your own comparison. Performance and fuel economy There is but one king here, and its name is Civic. While the sedan and coupe come with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter 158-horsepower four-cylinder that's less potent than the Corolla's, the hatchback comes standard with the 1.5-liter turbo that aces the segment in terms of both acceleration and fuel economy. The Golf's acceleration should be comparable, but as you can see, it trails on fuel economy (still not bad, though). The new Corolla ends up being better than the rest with its new 168-hp four-cylinder paired to novel transmissions: a six-speed manual with rev-matched downshifting (!) and a CVT that mimics the actions of a 10-speed automatic. The Corolla does weigh more than everything else, though, so that could hamper its acceleration. Fuel economy data also wasn't announced, but Toyota indicated it would be a bit better than the old Corolla iM. Something akin to the 2.0-liter Mazda 3's numbers seems likely. As for the Mazda, its top two trim levels actually come standard with its bigger engine. In any event, despite its ample power, testing has often showed that the Civic is still the quicker car from 0 to 60 mph. And finally, let's not leave out the two on the end. The Subaru is the only car in the segment that offers all-wheel drive (the Focus RS and Golf R don't count), but is also the segment weakling now that the Corolla iM has been discontinued.

Toyota Prius + gets refresh in UK, is it coming here?

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Toyota has unveiled a mid-cycle refresh of its seven-passenger, UK-market Prius +, known here in the US as the five-passenger Prius V. The revised hybrid MPV now boasts looks inspired by Toyota's more aggressive compact stylings as seen on its new Yaris and Aygo - particularly in the redone front fascia.
The new LED headlights are the most obvious change, sporting a sharper style, while the vertical slats that bookend front fascia are much larger and deeper, and are now home to LED running lights. The lower grille is also newly enlarged and trimmed in black plastic. Changes out back are far less noticeable, with the biggest tweak being a new diffuser that's been integrated into the rear bumper.
The interior gets a light freshening, too, with fresh trimmings around the switchgear, as well as a new 4.2-inch TFT display in the center mounted instrument cluster. The latter includes a new "Eco Judge" function designed to help owners drive more efficiently through a point-based reward system.

Toyota Camry incentives and fleet sales cranked to keep sales crown, insiders worried

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

We've been watching for some time now as Toyota has piled more incentives on the hood of its Camry sedan, and Automotive News reports that the we're not the only ones with raised eyebrows. The current Camry hasn't even been on the market for two years, but the family sedan segment is more hotly contested than it has been in years. It's that high level of competition that has led the automaker to uncharacteristically add more money on the hood in order to assure it maintains its long-held title of America's Best-Selling Car, a mantle it has owned for a dozen years. It's ramping up fleet sales, too.
According to the analysts at TrueCar, Toyota has bumped incentives per unit every month this year, now totaling some $2,750 as of May, a 38-percent hike over this time last year. That's more spiff money than the segment's other best sellers, the Nissan Altima ($2,400), Ford Fusion ($2,300) and Honda Accord ($1,400), all of whom have actually decreased their incentive spend by 20- to 40-percent over the same period.
The ramp up in incentive spending and fleet sales has analysts concerned that Toyota will tarnish the Camry's historically sterling resale value. ALG pegs the 2013 Camry's current 36-month residual value at 54.4 percent, well ahead of the segment average's 50.9 percent (but shy of the Accord's 55.6 percent). However, analysts are concerned that as the current generation ages, their resale values will eventually plummet if incentives continue to increase as Toyota looks to keep the Camry's best-selling car crown going forward.
