I BOUGHT THIS LANDCRUISER LAST YEAR FOR A HUNTING VEHICLE. I WANTED SOMETHING I COULD RELY ON GETTING ME TO THE AREA WHERE WE HUNT ABOUT 2 HOURS FROM MY HOUSE AND BACK. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DRIVE THIS ANYWHERE AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES WITH IT. IT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT A CREAM PUFF OF A VEHICLE BUT IT RUNS VERY WELL AND WILL GO ABOUT ANYWHERE YOU WANT. IT HAS THE FACTORY CENTER DIFFERENTIAL LOCK BUT NOT FRONT AND REAR LOCKERS. THE A/C BLOWS REALLY COLD ALMOST TO THE POINT OF BEING TOO COLD EVEN DURING THE HOT AND HUMID 100 DEGREE ARKANSAS DAYS. THE SUNROOF DOESN'T WORK AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT BUT HAVE NOT BEEN TOO WORRIED ABOUT IT EITHER. ALL THE ELECTRIC WINDOWS WORK WITH THE PASSENGER ONES BEING A LITTLE SLOW ROLLING UP. THE FRONT BIRFIELDS AND BRAKES WERE REDONE/REBUILT WITHIN THE LAST YEAR. THE ORIGINAL COLOR APPEARED TO BE A BEIGE COLOR BUT THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID A REALLY GOOD JOB TAPING PRIOR TO PAINTING FLAT BLACK AND IT LOOKS GOOD FOR WHAT IT IS. TIRES ARE 50% OR MORE AND ARE BFG ALL TERRAINS ON BLACK STEEL WHEELS. THE TRAILER HITCH RECEIVER HAS BEEN CUT INTO THE FACTORY REAR FRAME AND LOOKS GOOD BUT DOING THIS DID TAKEAWAY THE SPARE SO THERE IS NOT A SPARE THAT COMES WITH IT. IT HAS A OVERHEAD DVD TV THAT WORKS GREAT BUT I ONLY HAVE ONE SET OF WIRELESS HEAD PHONES. WE HAVE USED THIS VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES THIS SUMMER WHEN OUR KIDS WANTED TO TAKE FRIENDS WITH THEM TO THE LAKE AND WE NEEDED THE THIRD SEAT. ONLY REASON FOR SELLING IS MY WIFE WANTED SOMETHING A LITTLE NICER FOR TIMES WE NEED A VEHICLE WITH A THIRD SEAT SO I FOUND A LX450/LAND CRUISER THAT WILL REPLACE THIS ONE. I AM SELLING AT NO RESERVE AND BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TRANSPORTATION COST. PLEASE HAVE YOUR FINANCES IN PLACE PRIOR TO BIDDING. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO CALL/TEXT ME. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK.

Toyota Avalon celebrates 20 years with Touring Sport Edition
Mon, 27 Oct 2014The Toyota Avalon may not have the sportiest image on the market. Heck, it doesn't even have the sportiest image in the Toyota lineup. But the Japanese automaker is out to fix that perception, at least a little bit, with the launch of the new Touring Sport Edition.
Announced together with some minor updates to the entire Avalon line - consisting primarily of enhanced safety and infotainment systems - the Avalon XLE Touring Sport Edition celebrates the 20th anniversary of Toyota's large sedan line. Setting this special edition apart are a black paintjob, HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloys (similar in design to those on the Scion FR-S) and an interior decked out with perforated leather with dark blue trim... plus, of course, the requisite special badges inside and out.
Only 2,500 units will be offered with a $37,170 sticker price that puts it near (if not quite at) the top of the Avalon range that's capped by the $41,700 Avalon Hybrid Limited. Pricing has increased on most models by around two percent, and you can scope out all the details of the updates to the full range in the press releases below.
Midsize Sedan Comparison | Honda Accord vs. Toyota Camry vs. Mazda6
Tue, Jul 24 2018The rumors of the midsize sedan's death have been greatly exaggerated. The 2018 Honda Accord and 2018 Toyota Camry together moved more than 262,000 units through May of this year, which is still a ton of cars. Then again, both are down year-over-year despite being completely, and quite impressively, redesigned for 2018. So yes, the midsize sedan's grip on family transportation is weakening. Ford certainly thinks so, yet this change in consumer preferences comes at a time when the current crop of sedans is sensational. They're bigger and more powerful, yet also more efficient. Safety scores are impeccable. They even look better than ever. So before running out to score one of the bajillion little SUVs flooding the market, why not ponder this trio of midsize sedan all-stars that might actually work better? Over the course of three consecutive weeks we tested the 2018 Camry XSE V6, 2018 Accord Touring 2.0T and the perennial critical-darling 2018 Mazda6 Signature. The latter was thoroughly overhauled and, perhaps as such, bucked the segment trend by actually selling more in June this year. Each was a range-topping trim level with all the bells and whistles, plus the most powerful engine available. Really, you couldn't find cars closer in power, price and feature content. View 57 Photos Performance and fuel economy Toyota bucked the turbocharged trend by sticking with naturally aspirated engines for the 2018 Camry, and when it comes to its 3.5-liter V6, it's sure hard to argue with that decision. For starters, it produces 301 horsepower. Let that sink in for a moment. A 301-hp Toyota Camry. That crushes the others, while its 267 pound-feet of torque is only 6 less than the Accord. This is a strong, smooth engine that only gets better when you realize it matches the 26-mpg combined fuel economy of the others. Honda, meanwhile, followed the masses by switching to a turbocharged four-cylinder for the Accord's engine upgrade (and its base engine, for that matter). Though its 252 hp is considerably down on the Camry and its 271 lb-ft is only a smidgen more, the Accord's torque arrives earlier in the rev range without feeling overtly turbocharged. It also has 143 fewer pounds to contend with. When wrung out, this new 2.0-liter belts out a beautiful, typically Honda song made possible by the smart 10-speed automatic (the base 1.5-liter is paired to a CVT that results in more drone than mechanical music) that thankfully doesn't draw much attention to itself.
Toyota's $1.6B unintended acceleration settlement approved
Sat, 20 Jul 2013Toyota is now one step closer to putting its unintended acceleration woes behind it as it has received approval from the US District Court for the Central District of California to settle loss-of-value claims to vehicles associated with the 2009-2010 recalls.
As we reported back in May, the Toyota settlement is worth $1.63 billion, which, according to Bloomberg, includes a payout of $757 million to affected owners, $227 million to attorneys and an additional $875 million for vehicle upgrades. (We did the math, too, and that totals $1.859 billion, but there is no justification for the discrepancy. Fuzzy math, eh?)
Based on the estimated 22.6 million vehicles said to be included in this suit, that would make the average payment about $33.49 per vehicle, but the article says that owners, lessees and even renters will receive varying amounts ranging from $9.74 up to as much as $10,000. This settlement does not affect suits filed for personal injury or wrongful death.
