This is a Toyota and it only has 30k miles on it: best deal on ebay for such low miles! As should be expected, nothing is wrong with it, it works perfectly, and it needs nothing; drives like a brand new truck. Manual 6-speed transmission. A-trac (front pseudo non-binding locker via brakes), torsion diff, and rear e-locker = unstoppable off-road. A few rock chips and scratches in the interior and exterior from camping and general use. For the most part, nothing out of the ordinary except the one deep scratch where the 4WD sticker is now located on the rear hatch. There is a crack in the windshield, lower left corner, so I will have a new windshield put in for the buyer. This is not a mall cruiser Please note, there was a typo title discrepancy I hadn't noticed until posting this ad on ebay (see vehicle history report): purchased at 23,625 miles from the original owner, NOT 236,250. This has already been corrected thru the DMV as of the day this ad was posted. I would be happy to send a picture of the DMV receipt to an interested buyer proving there is no longer an odo discrepancy on the title, and I also added a pic of the odo on the ad. Toyota Matrix not long for this world?
Thu, 18 Apr 2013According to a report from AutoGuide, Toyota doesn't have plans to replace the aging Matrix hatchback in the United States after this year. If true, the timing coincides with the replacement for the Corolla, on which the Matrix is based, with that car slated to get its first complete redesign since 2006 (2008 in the US market).
We'd love to tell you how many Matrix models were sold by Toyota in the United States last year, but the automaker chooses to bundle Matrix sales with Corolla sales, so we have no idea. That said, we have to assume sales of the hatchback don't contribute much overall to the total number of Corolla-based machines.
We're also unsure if Toyota will choose to exit the youth-oriented compact hatchback market entirely, or if the automaker will rely instead on its hybrid Prius line and Scion models like the xB and xD.
Toyota donates engineers, not money, to country's largest anti-hunger charity

The New York Times took an in-depth look at the transformative impact that Toyota's engineers had on the city's charities, including The Food Bank, the country's largest anti-hunger charity. The auto manufacturer helped revolutionize the way these organizations served the community, showing that there's more to corporate philanthropy than just donating money.

BMW-Toyota joint sports car project is on like Donkey Kong
Mon, 30 Dec 2013It's official - there will be a jointly developed sports car from BMW and Toyota. While the two auto giants signed a Memorandum of Understanding that pledged to pursue "joint development of architecture and components for a future sports vehicle" back in June of 2012, in the interim, it has remained unclear how those plans had been progressing. BMW has finally officially confirmed that the German and Japanese manufacturers will be codeveloping a pair of sports cars in addition to pursuing other disciplines including fuel cell systems and lightweight technologies.
"We have agreed on a joint architecture for a sports car. What is important is that there will be two different vehicles that are authentic to the two brands," BMW Development Chief Herbert Diess told Germany's Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Reuters is reporting. This is a very, very big step for both brands, but now the speculation can officially begin as to what the products of this agreement will look like.
There's ample reason to believe that the BMW-Toyota tie up will result in a Supra successor based on comments made by the chief engineer of the GT86/FR-S program, Tatsuya Tada, back in August. Follow that with a rumor from earlier this month that Toyota could debut a Supra concept car at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show later this month, and we could be seeing the fruits of this partnership sooner rather than later.
