Up for sale is my 2007 Toyota Corolla S model in excellent condition, running perfectly and ready for a new home.  Car is a Florida car, never seen snow or salt, always kept in my garage and was fully maintained with all records showing proper maintenance including all scheduled maintenances and services including oil changes every 3000 miles, tire rotation on regular schedule, all scheduled services and maintenances performed at Toyota dealers.  I am the original owner of the car and the car has never had 1 issue, it's a great vehicle with nearly 40mpg it's excellent on gas and a very comfortable road trip and daily commuting car.

The car has a lot of new parts and services in the past year including:
  • New tires
  • New brakes
  • New battery
  • All recalls were performed by Toyota, including the recent transmission recall to prevent issues with a transmission solenoid (I had no issues but this was a preventative recall maintenance)
  • Recent tune up just 4 months ago
  • Car was fully inspected and all 75,000 mile maintenance and preventative maintenance has been performed on schedule with all the records to show for it.
Car has 82,300 miles, most of which were highway models.  I've taken this car on many road trips and it is a great road trip car!  Car gets EXCELLENT gas mileage, as much as 40MPG on the highway. Car was owned by a female, non smoker and was always maintained and received weekly car washes making the paint in near perfect condition.  The car was recently detailed and waxed so the paint is very glossy.  The A/C blows ice cold, the transmission shifts smoothly and all recalls were performed by Toyota and are up to date.  This car is in 100% perfect condition mechanically and about 95% exterior and will last many many more years and miles before it needs any maintenance.  The most recent maintenance was less than 6 months ago and was over $1,000 in preventative maintenance and service.  The alignment was done just 3 months ago when the new tires were put on, the car rides perfectly on the highway, no pulling or shaking on the wheel it drives as good as new.  Everything works on the car, there's not 1 issue.  The interior is in excellent condition with no issues whatsoever, I am a female non smoker and always kept my car clean and used armor all on the interior at least once a month.  This car is in near perfect condition as it was always maintained and cared for, it's a great runner and very comfortable and economical.  The car has a few minor dings and scratches as to be expected from a 6 year old car but there's nothing major as you can see in the pictures it's in great condition.

The Kelly Blue Book value for this car is $9,479 but I need to sell it soon as I recently purchased a new car and need room in my garage.  This is the 3rd time I've listed this car for sale on Ebay due to non-paying buyers.  Please do not bid on this car if you do not have the funds to pay for it or if you do not intend to pay for it.

If any questions, please feel free to message me.

Toyota unveils two new small displacement engines

Thu, 10 Apr 2014

Toyota introduced a pair of brand-new engines in Japan today, that it says will eventually spawn 14 different variants by 2015. Where these two engines stand out in today's world, is that neither mill boasts direct injection, and both are naturally aspirated.
The larger of the two is a 1.3-liter, while the smaller engine, a 1.0-liter, was developed in collaboration with Daihatsu. What makes these two unique is that they both use the Atkinson cycle. Now, we aren't going to bore you by explaining just what this is - there's Google for that. Suffice it to say, Atkinson engines are highly efficient, but that efficiency comes by sacrificing power. That's why they're so popular in hybrids, which can offset the power losses.
This focus on fuel efficiency extends throughout the new engines, which also benefit from tweaks like a cooled exhaust gas recirculation system and a trick intake port, while the 1.3 employs Toyota's iE variant of variable valve timing. Both engines can be fitted with stop-start tech. According to Toyota, when fitted with stop-start the 1.3 should provide around a 15-percent bump while the 1.0-liter will increase economy around 30 percent, when they arrive on the road.

Ford Fusion production scaled back just 3 months after it was accelerated

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

Three months after kicking off production of the Ford Fusion at its Flat Rock, MI factory, Ford Motor Company is taking steps to trim output in the face of heavily discounted competition from Toyota and a growing supply of vehicles.
The addition of Fusion production in Flat Rock - which also builds the Mustang - was meant to be what pushed the handsome mid-sizer past its arch-nemesis, the Toyota Camry. An extra facility building Fusions was also meant to curb the growing demand for Ford's highly profitable sedan.
But with word that Flat Rock would take "approximately" one extra week off for the holidays combined with an 88-day supply of Fusions - reportedly due in no small part to what Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas called "aggressive discounting of the Camry" - some analysts are now beginning to wonder if Ford may have overextended itself by adding a second Fusion facility to the mix.

Toyota, Ford decide to end hybrid collaboration before it starts

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

Not all so-called Memorandum of Understanding pacts end in actual collaborations. For instance, after a two-year "feasibility study," Toyota and Ford have just announced that they will not be developing hybrid systems for use in light trucks and SUVs as previously planned, and the two automakers will instead continue to develop their own hybrid technology independently.
The would-be collaboration was first announced in August of 2011, and would have seen a rear-wheel-drive hybrid platform that would "improve the efficiency of trucks and SUVs while still allowing them to be driven in the way customers expect," according to our initial post on the topic.
Keep in mind that this announcement isn't to say we shouldn't expect hybrid pickups and SUVs from the two automakers, but that they probably aren't coming very soon - Ford says it will have a system "before the end of this decade" and we haven't heard much from Toyota on the hybrid truck front since the 2008 A-BAT Concept (pictured above) - and that they will not share any components between them (and they never have, for what it's worth).
