VIN#ma46018487-- Here we have a true garage find survivor..part of few cars that were elderly owned, stored, since late 80's,early 90's.I was told around 1990.68k miles and some change.Body is solid with some wear paint cracking on 1 fender+Maybe few dings on the hood, and here and there. But for an all original 1979 its in great shape,inside-out.unbeleivable how doors, fenders, quarters are,and paint shining. This car had extra options special ordered, factory "Toyota"cb"with cobra antenna, power windows, keystone factory sporty rims with like new tires.Look like they were purchased month ago, thats how new.Car needed attention.Had A professional flush, clean gas tank, also all fluids were flushed, changed.NGK tune-up,wires,plugs,fuel-pump,brakes cleaned gone through, changed anything it needed.Starts nice,a bit rough at 1st for maybe a minute, but then it purrs.im sure driving it will only make it better.Rear tires burn rubber.Seen that when he was testing clutch. Each cylinder was compression tested he told me and all is good.He cant see anything big wrong and nothing small needing emergency changing.im 99.9% sure it has A/C.ILL double check and update ad.But this is being sold as a survivior garage find as-is.the stuff we did is a bonus. They Didnt drive it much. This was goin to be sold regardless, but we decided getting her mechanically repaired would be best.Car is a rear wheel drive built to compete with the Nissan sport cars of that era.I have all the car manuals, even orig. seat covers and cb manual..Floor pans front and rear are super solid, not even rusted.still black!.just some rusting in other areas under there.frame looks solid.1 door jamb has little rust, other is very clean.I have a clear very old Il. title.was last title in 1981 when husband lost his 1st wife he had her removed from title.he purchased it in 1979,in 81 was retitled, and that's where date sits on title.very nice car for age and being all original.was stored properly with other much more expensive cars.covered with 2 car covers.wheels were even covered.car is guaranteed to be knock free, clutch to be in great shifting condition.Sale is as-is.i described it to best of my ability.its a 1979,all original.it was gone through mechanically and runs great, but its your job to ask questions and view the car.Sale is final.Look closely at pictures.has its blemishes.maybe few rust spots that are so minor you cant see them.interior is a WOW!.smells 70's.clean dashboard, everything.only blemish is rear seats headrests are worn out a bit.fabric is clean, carpet fluffy.cb works, radio to.Not asking much.just 1 of the last 2 cars to sell off.be that lucky person.my research showed me cars like this at $5,000.and not even 1 owner,no sporty factory rims,no power windows.priced to go.make offers ill consider till reserve met.For sale locally so auction can end anytime.make an offer before it does incase it doesn't bring reserve but you were willing to pay it.***WILL TRADE FOR A PAIR OF JET SKI'S OR 1 NEWER 1.NOT EXPECTING IT TO BE 2014,BUT EITHER 2 GOOD RUNNING SKI'S,NOT TOO OLD,{I CAN BUY 2 90'S JET SKIS FOR $500-$1000 A PIECE}OR 1 MAYBE 2004-UP.JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT U HAVE.AND ALSO A BOAT??***THIS IS A 1979 THATS BEEN HIDDEN FROM THE WORLD IN A 6 CAR CLIMATE CONTROLLED GARAGE FOR OVER 20YRS.ITS NOT IN MINT STATE.ASK QUESTIONS. IM NOT A CAR RESTORER AND IM GOIN ON WHAT PROFESSONALS HAVE TOLD ME AND WHAT I SEE.SOMETIMES PICTRES LOOK BETTER,SOMETIMES PICTURE DOESNT DO CAR JUSTICE.ITS A REALLY NICE FIND IN ITS STATE,AND YOU MIGHT FIND SOMETHING I DIDNT KNOW "COSMETICALLY".MECHANICALLY,OVER $1280 WAS SPENT TO BRING HER ALIVE.NO REFUNDS,PAYMENT DUE WITHIN 48HRS IN FULL.DEPOSIT WITHIN 24HRS.THIS IS MY PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS,NOT WHATS IN EBAYS PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS.UNDER 25 FEEDBACK YOU CANT BID UNLESS YOU CONTACT ME OR ILL CANCEL YOUR BID.THANK YOU.HONEST SELLER,EXPECT SAME.17088901799 MARK On Jul-03-14 at 04:34:59 PDT, seller added the following information: ANY CASHIER CHECK OR MONEY ORDER MUST CLEAR BEFORE YOU ARE ABLE TO PICK CAR UP.DEPOSIT IS THROUGH PAYPAL WITHIN 24HR.OR ANY OTHER WAY BUT IT MUST CLEAR AND HAPPEN WITHIN 24 HR SO A CHECK FOR DEPOSIT IS OUT OF THE QUESTION...CAL BEFORE BIDDING IF YOU HAVE PAYMENT QUESTIONS..I AM ABLE TO KEEP THE CAR STORED FOR YOU IN SECURED LOCATION LOCKED FOR 14DAYS.THATS IT.ANY MORE TIME NEEDED THEN THAT MUST BE WORKED OUT AHEAD OF TIME AS YOU WILL PAY STORAGE FOR ANYTHING AFTER 14DAYS.AND YOU WILL BE RESPONSABLE..ILL DO MY BEST TO HELP. Brian Karasawa's gen-one Toyota Celica is, in a word, badass. As a long-standing fan of the marque, the doting owner has tried to both restore and improve his Celica keeping period-correct modifications in mind. The 20R/22R mashup engine is outputting roughly 185 horsepower and graced with a lot of JDM-specific parts and modifications. Clearly, the exhaust has been upgraded from stock, as clips of the orange Toyota in motion are accompanied by one hell of a nice sound.
Tastes clearly vary, and there's not as much love for the first-wave of Japanese metal as there is for similar era American-iron, but we're pleased to see these cars finally getting more time in the spotlight. Scroll down below to see why we're stoked, and consider cruising your local Craigslist for late 1970s and early 1980s Japanese coolness (before we get there first).

The Toyota Yaris line in the U.S. has been really weird, what with the hatchback coming from Toyota, and the sedan coming from Mazda a rebadged Mazda2. For 2020, the Toyota Yaris line is still weird, but at least its consistent as the hatchback is also a rebadged Mazda2. And as far as styling is concerned, that's all there is to say. The front bumper is the the same angry catfish face as the Yaris sedan, and everything rearward comes from the Mazda2 that's available overseas and in Puerto Rico. The interior is the same as the Mazda2, and very similar to the Mazda CX-3. The switch to the Mazda platform has added 0.3 cubic-feet to the cargo space over the old Toyota version. Under the hood is the familiar 1.5-liter inline-four making 106 horsepower. Disappointingly, the only transmission available will be a six-speed automatic, whereas the current sedan is available with a six-speed manual transmission. But having six speeds is a massive improvement over the outgoing Yaris's ancient four-speed automatic. Fuel economy hasn't been announced, but expect it to get close to the Toyota Yaris sedan's 32 mpg in the city and 40 on the highway. This will be another improvement over the old Yaris hatch's 30 mpg in the city and 35 on the highway. Unlike the sedan, the new Yaris hatch will only be offered in LE and XLE trims, leaving out the base-level L. Every version of the car gets alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, fog lights, keyless entry with push-button start, automatic emergency braking and an infotainment system with seven-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moving up to XLE adds leatherette upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, automatic climate control and automatic LED headlights. Pricing and availability haven't been announced, but it will likely go on sale later this year with a starting price around $17,000 like the Yaris LE sedan.

After news broke of an anticipated Japanese report telling that the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ twins were not long for this world, both carmakers have denied the cars' successors have been canceled. Carscoops reports that both Toyota and Subaru have stated they are developing next-generation cars. As a Subaru USA spokesman told Carscoops: "We do not endorse this report coming from Japan's Best Car. ... We are moving ahead with a next-generation Subaru BRZ, but have no further details at this time." The website also reported a similar statement from Toyota. With the models getting long in the tooth and no test mules having been spied, doubts are not unwarranted — remember just how long Toyota teased the fifth generation Supra before its 2019 debut. More information is not yet available, or whether the two brands will still collaborate to bring the new-generation coupes to the market, but for Toyobaru fans this might be grounds to breathe a sigh of relief. That would also mean, that if the hinted MR-2 revival is based on solid ground, there will be a full "Three Brothers" Toyota sports car portfolio for sale in the next decade. With the Supra offered also as a four-cylinder in Japan, it will be interesting to see if Toyota will retain the 86's current, slight power advantage over the Supra's 197-horsepower variant or respect the status of the bigger brother.
