2003 Toyota Celica Since I bought I installed body kit, lambo doors, front brakes, lower ball joints. The car did not have fog lights installed so I bought factory lights, turn switch, and relay and installed. A/C blows ice cold no check engine lights or problems. Previous owner installed system with cd player. Sounds good but what do I know. He also had a performance clutch installed at 82000 miles. Tires are good but will needs wheel alignment since I changed the lower ball joints. Oh there is a burn hole in the driver seat. The L door window will need new tint installed. There are some nicks in the paint here and there and a dent on the upper L corner of hood from AMP fuse. Is for sale locally and sale can be ended at any time. Will consider delivering for a fee up to 250 miles. If you would like pictures of something specific send me your request with your phone number e-mail or I can try to send them from EBay. |

Vice chronicles Okinawa's illegal street racing scene
Mon, 10 Mar 2014We all know that street racing is dangerous, and that motorsports are best left on the track or drag strip. However, that doesn't mean that there still isn't some outlaw allure among enthusiasts of racing on public roads. In this video, Vice Japan profiles Eikichi Nagayoshi of Japan's island of Okinawa. He is a used car dealer by day and an illegal racer by night.
Nagayoshi has a deep love for his highly customized Toyota Aristo (better known to us as a first-generation Lexus GS) that he claims produces over 1,000 horsepower and has hit 205 miles per hour. He races his car both on drag strips and in drifting competitions, but says that he often has to ship the car to mainland Japan to compete. In the absence of those opportunities, he sometimes gathers friends and takes the racing to the public roads. While we're not down with street racing, this Vice video is an intriguing personality piece, as well as a look into Japan's fabled underground racing scene. Toyota gives up more information on Frankfurt-bound Yaris Hybrid-R concept
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Toyota has undeniably carved out a niche for itself as the industry's leader in hybrid propulsion. What started out with the original Prius in 1997 has, over the past sixteen years, ballooned to what Toyota reports as a global hybrid portfolio of 23 models. But few (if any of them) are particularly exciting.
That's where the Yaris Hybrid-R concept comes in. Set to be showcased along with the rest of Toyota's hybrid and fuel-cell lineup at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show next month, the concept starts with one of the Japanese auto giant's least exciting models and upgrades it to more enticing territory. Toyota Motorsport GmbH - the same Cologne, Germany-based division that operated the company's F1 team, currently runs its Le Mans program and gave us that bonkers 650-horsepower Lexus LS - has slotted in a version of Toyota's new 1.6-liter Global Race Engine and paired it with a couple of electric motors for hybrid propulsion and through-the-road all-wheel drive.
Like the TS030 Hybrid LMP1, the Yaris Hybrid-R concept uses a super capacitor (instead of a conventional battery) to store the regenerated brake energy and give it upwards of 400 horsepower. That's about all Toyota is revealing at this point, but this is the first time it has confirmed the project is based on a Yaris, of all things, and the confirmation comes with the solitary teaser rendering you see above.
