Up for sale is this Super clean 2007 Toyota Camry LE. This Camry has only 57,000 original miles on it. This car looks absolutely great inside and out! It looks as if it has been barely used. Unfortunately, this car was involved in a fresh water flood and its being sold with a salvage flood title. I am not sure why the insurance company decided to brand this car a flood car because I can see no sign of flood damage anywhere on this vehicle. The Camry is in perfect mechanical condition and everything works the way it should, and I mean everything! Every single light bulb lights up and every switch functions properly. There are no warning lights on the dash of any type. I do not believe any water entered this vehicle at all. The carpets and mats are all dry and there is no smell or anything like that. This car was just branded a flood because of liablilty reasons. There is no way any water touched this vehicle. The underneath of the car looks like it just rolled of the showroom. The undercarriage shines like brand new. I dont think this car was ever even driven in the rain. I have been driving this vehicle on and off and its a really nice driving vehicle. All the maintanence on the car was done and its ready for its new owner. Nothing has to be done to this car! The tires on the car are practically new. They have tons of tread left and they are all matching goodyear tires. This is a very well taken cared of car and it will last someone forever. This Toyota runs and drives like a new Toyota would. You literally jump in this car and drive it 2,000 miles back home without any problems. This is also a ONE OWNER vehicle with no accident history in the autocheck report.
This Camry is loaded up with all the options. It has a power glass moonroof, front and rear parking sensors, xenon headlights, power windows, power locks, remote keyless entry, alarm, CD player with MP3 capabilites, AUX music outlet, cruise control, ICE cold AC, power mirrors, digital dash controls, steering wheel controls, and a very economical 4 cylinder engine. This engine gets over 30MPG's with no problem.
The car comes with two original Toyota key fobs and an original toyota valet key. We also have all the original floor mats, the unused spare tire, jack, and complete tool kit. This vehicle is ready for the spring, just jump in and drive.
The exterior of the car shows extremely well. The car is virtually flawless with no major blemishes to speak of. The paint looks to be in nice and it shines like glass. You can see your face in the paint. There is nothing to pick on with this car. This is a ONE OWNER car with no accident history in the autocheck report.
The interior of the car is like brand new. The seats are is fantstic condition and show no any wear at all. The carpets and other panels are all in great shape and all the mechanicals and electricals are 100%. This car looks and drives like a 57,000 mile Toyota should.
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. This vehicle has a salvage flood title. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you buy the car and are located in my local area, I will deliver it to you FREE of charge. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. With that being said, feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns. My name is Matt and my number is 646-243-9866. Thanks and good luck bidding!

Audi, Toyota land on MIT's list of 50 Most Disruptive Companies

Sat, 23 Feb 2013

MIT Technology Review, a magazine all about innovation, has announced its list of the 50 most disruptive companies in 2013, and both Audi and Toyota made the cut. While the term "most disruptive" may carry a negative connotation in most uses (especially in the classroom), the acknowledgement in this case is an accolade, signifying that the company is at the forefront of its industry. In a nutshell, a disruptive company is a business whose innovations force other businesses to alter their strategic direction.
Audi made the list for "pushing autonomous cars closer to fruition with a laser-scanning road detector that fits in a vehicle's front grille," and Toyota for "expanding its dominance of the hybrid-car market with its new plug-in version of the Prius." Click on the image above to be taken to the original graphic at MIT Technology Review, where clickable colored squares reveal information about each of the 50 winners, compiled from a variety of industries.

2020 Toyota Highlander vs other 3-row crossovers: There can only be one!

Fri, Dec 20 2019

We've done quite a few spec comparison posts involving three-row family crossovers, and when included, the Toyota Highlander has always been the runt of the group. While the rest increasingly seemed to be benchmarking each other toward greater girth, the Highlander was the outlier.  That changes a bit for the 2020 Toyota Highlander, but only a bit. It's now larger and more competitive, specifically in regards to the amount of cargo space aft of the third-row seat. As you can see below, this aligns the Highlander most closely to its long-time competitor the 2020 Honda Pilot. However, let's see how it stacks up to others in the segment, which is heavily populated now, so for the sake of space, we've selected the newest entries: Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, Subaru Ascent and Ford Explorer. The order in which they are presented is random.  Performance and fuel economy The 2020 Highlander is more than 200 pounds lighter than its predecessor, but has the same 295-horsepower V6 engine that was already one of the strongest in the segment. We'd say that would give it a leg up, but the Pilot and Explorer have proven to be sprinters, delivering 0-60 times in the low-6 range by some publications' stopwatches (or VBoxes, whatever). We don't expect the Highlander to beat them, but it may dip into the 6's. The heavy, less-powerful Subaru Ascent is most likely to take up the rear. It's fuel economy of 23 mpg combined also matches the Highlander and Explorer for segment-best. Remember, however, that the Explorer's turbocharged inline-four engine is likely more susceptible to differences in driving style (read: a heavy foot).  Of course, if you're really interested in fuel economy, the Highlander and Explorer are the only vehicles in the segment to offer hybrid versions. The Ford Explorer Hybrid puts a greater emphasis on performance, however, resulting in lower estimates of 25 mpg combined (AWD) and 28 mpg combined (FWD). By contrast, the new 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is estimated to return 36 mpg combined.  Passenger and cargo space According to Highlander chief engineer Yoshikazu Saeki, he had a choice of two directions with the new Highlander. He could have indeed made it bigger, matching these very competitors, especially in terms of third-row and cargo space. Or, he could have maintained a smaller-than-average size. He obviously chose the latter. First, it was the size customers had come to expect. Would they be put off by something bigger?

These are 2014's best-selling cars and trucks

Tue, Jan 6 2015

Now that 2014 is no more than a set of numbers on spreadsheets, at last, the grist mill gets its first real load to chew on. The number one selling vehicle in America last year was the Ford F-Series, a fact that should surprise you only if your family name is Van Winkle and your naps tend to last 38 years, which is how long the Ford pickup has ruled our buying landscape. Even though series sales were down 1.3 percent, it still racked up 753,851 units. That's 2,065.3 sales per day, every day, all year. The Chevrolet Silverado, up 10.3 percent for the year, was still a daylight second at 529,755 units. The cab-and-bed love continued into third place with the Ram 1500-3500 trucks, gaining 23.6-percent year-on-year to clock 439,789 units. The robust turnout at The Bighorn and Jeep helped Fiat-Chrysler increase its sales by 16 percent, past the two-million mark. Our number one car? The Toyota Camry, staying in first place with a 4.9-percent sales boost to 428,606 sales, trailed again by the Honda Accord at number five with 388,374 sales. Accord sales rose six percent, and if it's any consolation to Honda for coming in second - not that it needs one - it is the only manufacturer to have three vehicles in the top ten. The rest of the list: the Nissan Altima with 335,644 sales (+4.7%), the Honda CR-V with 355,019 (+10.2%), the Toyota Corolla/Matrix combo with 339,498 (+5.9%), the Honda Civic with 325,981 (-3.1%), and the Ford Fusion with 306,860 sales (+2.9%). Total sales for the year were up six percent to 16.5 million vehicles, a volume not seen since 2006, aided by a strong December that was up by 11 percent year-on-year. Ford was the top selling brand overall but sales didn't really budge from 2013, while Subaru rocketed up 21 percent to finish with 513,693 sales. At the precious end, BMW, Audi, Porsche and Land Rover all had record years, and Kelley Blue Book thinks we could be looking at 17 million sales for the next two or three years. Looks like it's time to start making hay again...
