1988 TOYOTA CAMRY

Car is running - has an oil leak - would not drive it until it is fixed.  My daughter finally got her license and her Dad got her this car. (Her - A Girl - An Old Car - Really?) She knows absolutely nothing about fixing cars and neither do I!!!  He did put on New Tires (with warranty) from Discount tire - she might have driven 500 miles since the car started leaking oil.  Her Dad also installed a new radio Dual Electronics XR4115 Detachable Face (manual available) Car has a new radiator, starter and windshield.  Tires alone cost $388.00.  Color Burgundy is Faded - see pictures.  Oh yea and this car has Very Cold A/C - Unfortunately Due to a Dispute between Dad and Daughter - the car is sitting.  We Do have the Title and I want to end this Issue by seeing it leave my yard ...  The Mom

Toyota: My Bold Dad

Mon, Feb 2 2015

Toyota followed up its first Super Bowl ad, which featured paralympian Amy Purdy and a voiceover from Muhammad Ali with a spot that'll tug at your heartstrings. As has been something of a theme tonight, it focuses on family and the way they grow up, with a dad, his little girl and their Camry. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're off to see why it's so damn dusty in here. Marketing/Advertising Toyota Economy Cars Super Bowl Commercials Videos Sedan 2015 super bowl ad

Dubai claims debut of Toyota GT86 sedan concept

Sun, 03 Nov 2013

Typically, when the organizers of an auto show reveal that a new car will debut at their show, we take notice. But this particular claim from the Dubai International Motor Show ought to be taken with a grain of salt.
As our compatriots at AutoGuide discovered, the Facebook page for the Emirates auto expo includes a post with an interesting claim: that a sedan based on the Toyota GT86 (known in the US as the Scion FR-S) will debut at the show. The Facebook post is accompanied by the image above, purporting to show the concept in question.
The strange part is that the organizers claim the four-door GT86 concept will make its "regional unveil" at the Dubai show, which would seem to indicate that the concept in question would make its international debut at an earlier show. Considering that the doors open in Dubai on Tuesday, that seems increasingly unlikely. All of this begs the question, If this isn't actually a four-door GT86, what might it be?

GM outsold VW globaly in first quarter, Toyota reports numbers next week

Thu, 18 Apr 2013

General Motors released its first quarter sales figures this week, reporting that it sold 2.36 million cars and trucks worldwide. That figure represents an increase of 3.6 percent when compared to the same period last year. GM's growth was attributed to many factors, including global Cadillac sales that were up 26 percent and Chevrolet posting a one percent increase over last year (this marked Chevy's tenth straight year of record global sales).
Volkswagen came in just behind GM, as the German automaker reported global sales from January through March at 2.27 million vehicles, an increase of five percent when compared to last year. While that number was strong, VW is cautioning that markets outside China and the US, such as those in Europe, are becoming a challenge as economies falter.
Yet to report sales is Toyota, current holder of the global world sales crown (the Japanese company sold 9.75 million cars last year, against 9.29 million sold by GM and 9.1 million vehicles sold by VW). Even though GM and Toyota both say they don't care who sells the most units, it is unquestionably a strong bragging point and sales equate to revenue. That said, Toyota will report its first quarter numbers next week.
