Up for sale is my wife's 2012 Subaru Impreza 2.0i Limited 5-door with the Moonroof Package. I purchased this car with my wife in March of 2011. I worked for a Subaru dealership at the time and sold it to her. We are the original owners and it has a clean carfax. We also purchased the extended 5yr/100k Subaru Factory Warranty! Additional Factory Installed Accessories: Remote Engine Start Rear Spoiler Aero Splash Guards Body Side Moldings All Weather Floor Mats Rear Cargo Tray Rear Bumper Applique We are selling this vehicle because I recently acquired a company vehicle and my wife is taking my 2013 Legacy 3.6R Limited. The Impreza has been a fantastic car with over 31mpg averaged. All services and recalls are up to date. We are non-smokers and my wife used the car to commute about 60 miles per day. I can count on one hand how many times the back seats were sat in. In addition to the factory warranty, this vehicle also has a Genuine Subaru Extended Warranty, bumper to bumper for 5yr/100k. It's the Gold Plus plan. We're sad to see this car go but we don't need to have 3 cars just for the 2 of us. Feel free to contact me for more information and to see/test drive the vehicle. We noticed this after we came out from the shopping mall last year. It's not very noticeable but is there. Lastly, the tires are nearing the end of their life. They usually last between 45-50k so they have about 5-10,000 miles left on them. My plan was to get new tires towards the end of the summer. This vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Lastly, we still owe ~14k on the car. When the buyer comes for final payment, we can go to a local Chase branch for final payment and payoff the vehicle. Subaru updates EyeSight system with color-detecting cameras
Sun, 26 Jan 2014Subaru is giving its EyeSight driver assistance camera system a major upgrade for the 2015 model year with new color cameras, as well as reducing its size by 15 percent over the rather bulky original system.
Subaru locates its EyeSight hardware inside the vehicle at the top of the windshield, which is unlike most other camera-based systems that have their hardware mounted somewhere in the front fascia. The benefit is that these rather expensive components are protected from any detritus that may hit the car, but the original system's size ate up a chunk of the driver's outward view. Thus, the shrinkage should be appreciated by new owners.
The upgraded stereo cameras have a 40-percent longer and wider detection range than the original system's cameras, and their ability to see color allows the system to recognize brake lights at a speed differential of 30 miles per hour, instead of 19 mph before. And as before, EyeSight continues to offer adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and pre-collision breaking that can slow the car automatically if an imminent accident is detected, even bringing the vehicle to a complete stop.
Spy photos show 2017 Subaru BRZ facelift
Tue, Mar 22 2016As it transitions to the Toyota 86, the Scion FR-S isn't the only version of the joint Toyota/Subaru sports car that's getting a facelift. The BRZ is getting a nip and tuck, and here's our first look. Posted on the FT86Club forum are pictures of what appears to be the 2017 Subaru BRZ, hot on the heels of the recently-revised Toyota 86. The changes look rather subtle, but stand at least to keep the Subaru model up to pace with its Toyota counterpart. And for those less than enamored of the new curves applied to the 86, these updates may just be enough to tip the balance in Fuji Heavy's favor. The front end appears to keep the same grille shape as the existing model, but the vents on either side of it have changed, with little winglets bisecting. Gone are the auxiliary lights, apparently integrated into the new headlights that pack fresh elements. The taillights appear to be updated in similar fashion as well. Inside more auxiliary controls are now integrated into the steering wheel in front of the instrument binnacle with a new set of gauges. There's seems to be a new infotainment head unit in the dashboard and some updated interior trim as well. Of course the big question will be whether the refreshed BRZ will get any boost in power or other mechanical upgrades like Toyota's given the new 86, but for that we'll just have to stay patient for the time being as look forward to seeing the Toyota version in the metal at the New York Auto Show this week.
