Please read everything before contacting me, I do have more pictures and video I can send.
Up for auction is my baby. It's a 2006 WRX with the STi 6Speed manual trans and more, with no rust.
It has 70,xxx original miles

This car runs and drives great, shifts smooth and no grinding when going into gears! You can drive it home, don't worry about towing. I have owned the car for over two years (but only had the title transferred into my name after completing the 6speed swap). I bought it with a bad 5speed manual trans. It took me a over a year to save up and then do the 6speed swap (trans, drive shaft, axles, brembo brakes, rear diff, clutch, rotors, rims, tires, hubs etc.) only this spring have I been able to drive it and really enjoy it. I could probably count on two hands how many times I've driven it. During the time of doing the swap I put a few decals on it (they can be easily removed) to try make it look like a track/rally car. I have never taken it to the track or rallied it. The switch board in the dash where the radio goes is not wired up (just put in to cover up the hole, for now haven't had the time for it).
This was going to be my track/fun car but plans have changed. I have a one year old son now and I can't afford a car just sitting in my garage and don't have the time to finish it. I have a lease on another car (my daily driver) that will be running out soon and I'm going to need something more practical for a family (the reason I'm selling my Subi)
The car is sitting in a heated/cooled warehouse on a trickle charge to prevent the (new) battery from going bad and to keep it out of the rain/sun/snow. I have never driven it in the snow with all the salt on the roads. The under body is super clean with no rust. This car is my baby and has been well looked after.
If you have any other questions feel free to contact me either by text or email. I work full time and can't call most of the time
I have many more pics and videos I can send you

Hood and trunk are Plasti Dipped as is the foglight covers and lip on the front bumper. (It can be removed, has only been on for the last 4 months) Was going to do the roof too but don't have the time. The hood is a little dirty from quickly wiping it down for pics.

Cons:
DCCD is there but not wired up I have all the controls just missing the wiring.
It does have a couple small dents (from other car doors, nothing major) from the previous owner.
Due to the power its putting out there some rear diff slap (you can google it) the rear diff needs harder/stronger bushings to solve this, just never had the time or the money to do it.
Occasionally I have an code pop up (P0607) if you google it you will see 2 things it could be. For me its a bad ground somewhere because Hi beam and reverse lights don't work. (It is not in limp mode) I can rev as high as I want and have videos to prove it.
Could use a fender roll (sometimes it will rub with a really hard dip in the road).

None of this affect the performance or the handling of the car

Lights that are on the dash
ABS (because of sti cluster swap, common)
Rear diff temp (because its not grounded, common with sti cluster swaps)
Airbag (on because front seat airbags are not plugged in, the plug was different from 2006 to 2011)
Brake (also because of sti cluster swap)

Ford tumbles to second worst in Consumer Reports reliability survey, list dominated by Japanese [w/video]

Mon, 29 Oct 2012

It's no secret that MyFord Touch has had its share of problems since being introduced, but the most recent reliability survey from Consumer Reports shows just how much this infotainment system has affected Ford. Just two years ago, the automaker was in the top 10 for the institute's reliability rankings, but since then, it has tumbled to the second-lowest rung just above dead-last Jaguar. In addition to MyFord Touch, CR also attributes a handful of new products that have had issues right out of the gate.
Compiled from 1.2 million subscriber surveys, this year's auto reliability survey heavily favors Japanese automakers, with eight of the 10 spots hailing from Japan. Toyota brands grabbed the top three spots (Scion, Toyota and Lexus - in that order) with Mazda, Subaru, Honda and Acura filling the next four spots. The only non-Asian automaker cracking the top 10 was Audi at number eight.
Audi climbed a total of 18 spots from last year, and Cadillac and GMC round out this year's top gainers breaking into the top 15. Helping Cadillac's upward movement, the CTS Coupe was named the most reliable domestic car. Lincoln, Volvo and Chrysler join Ford on this year's biggest loser list.

Days 3-5: Our 4 favorite Patagonia timelapse videos | Subarus in South America

Sat, Feb 20 2016

Sorry for the break in daily updates, Autoblog In Patagonia fans. McGraw and I spent the last two nights at a hotel so remote, it doesn't even technically have an address – just coordinates. We barely had wifi access and couldn't even get a cell signal most of the time, but now we're back with another quick update about our adventures in South America. Since our last writing, we hopped in a Subaru Forester and checked out the massive Perito Moreno glacier, crossed the border into Chile and spent all of Thursday inside the Torres del Paine national park. We drove Outbacks and Crosstreks on some truly epic dirt roads up and down mountains, and even took a break to do a little fishing (we can't work all the time). Friday, our journey took us even more south to Punta Arenas, Chile, and on Saturday we'll cross the Straits of Magellan and head back into Argentina, to fulfill our quest of driving to the southernmost drivable point in the world (outside of Antarctica). Since we've had lots of time on our hands, we decided to take some timelapse videos of the epic scenery here in Chile, and that's what we're bringing you this time around, in the video above. We'll have another update soon. In the meantime, check out our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram feeds to see what we've posted on our very spotty cell coverage. We can't wait to show you everything we experienced when the big, final story comes out later this month. Auto News Subaru Videos patagonia autoblog in patagonia

Subaru recalls more cars, slashes guidance as cheating issue widens

Mon, Nov 5 2018

By Naomi Tajitsu TOKYO — Subaru Corp said it would recall more vehicles sold in the Japan domestic market on new cases of inspection cheating, and cautioned that rising recall costs would lop off about a quarter from its annual profit forecast. Shares in Subaru, already reeling from a series of recalls for issues ranging from faulty components to inspection do-overs, fell 5 percent to a four-year low on Monday after news of the fresh recalls and the bleak outlook. The company, the smallest among Japan's major automakers, said it would recall around 100,000 vehicles, including its popular Impreza sedan, after discovering that final tests for components including brakes were not conducted properly. Vehicles sold overseas will not be affected. "It's unforgivable that these inspection-related issues are continuing," CEO Tomomi Nakamura said at a briefing, while repeatedly adding that the latest recall would be the last related to testing misconduct. The automaker expects to incur 6.5 billion yen ($57 million) in costs related to the latest recall. This, along with other quality-linked issues, is expected to push down Subaru's operating profit to 220 billion yen in the year to March 2019. It had previously forecast a 300 billion yen profit. Subaru posted a surprise operating loss of 25 billion yen for the three months ended September, its first time in the red for a quarter since 2009 and missing a mean forecast for a 68.46 billion yen profit from 10 analysts polled by Refinitiv. Recall-related costs were the main driver of the loss, while global sales fell 6 percent over the quarter due to weak demand in the United States — its biggest market, where overall demand has cooled since record-high sales in 2016. (Click here for an interactive version of this chart) Engine recall Last month, Subaru nearly halved its first-half operating profit view, citing higher quality-related costs. It later announced a global recall of around 400,000 vehicles, including its Forester SUV and Impreza sedan, to fix a design flaw in the engines' valve springs. That came on the heels of another series of recalls stemming from revelations last year that uncertified workers had been submitting final inspection reports for vehicles sold in Japan. That had also led to a recall of about 400,000 cars. Recalls are common in the auto industry, and automakers regularly put funds aside to pay for them.
