Please don't bid unless you intend to pay! Last bidder did not contact me after winning the auction and ebay is now investigating.
Please read everything before contacting me Up for auction is my baby. It's a 2006 WRX with the STi 6Speed manual trans with no rust. It has 70,xxx original miles This car runs and drives great, shifts smooth and no grinding when going into gears! You can drive it home, don't worry about towing. I have owned the car for over two years (but only had the title transferred into my name after completing the 6speed swap). I bought it with a bad 5speed manual trans. It took me a over a year to save up and then do the 6speed swap (trans, drive shaft, axles, brembo brakes, rear diff, clutch, rotors, rims, tires, hubs etc.) only this spring have I been able to drive it and really enjoy it. I could probably count on two hands how many times I've driven it. During the time of doing the swap I put a few decals on it (they can be easily removed) to try make it look like a track/rally car. I have never taken it to the track or rallied it. The switch board in the dash where the radio goes is not wired up (just put in to cover up the hole). This was going to be my track/fun car but plans have changed. I have a one year old son now and I can't afford a car just sitting in my garage. I have a lease on another car (my daily driver) that will be running out soon and I'm going to need something more practical for a family (the reason I'm selling my Subi) The car is sitting in a heated/cooled warehouse on a trickle charge to prevent the (new) battery from going bad and to keep it out of the rain/sun/snow. I have never driven it in the snow with all the salt on the roads. The under body is super clean with no rust. This car is my baby and has been looked after. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me either by text or email. I work full time and can't call most of the time I have many more pics and videos I can send you Motor Mods: 2.5L 4 cylinder turbo VF39 turbo walbro 255 fuel pump Sti injectors Sti Top Mount Intercooler New Exedy Lightened flywheel (as of 300 miles ago) New Exedy clutch (as of 300 miles ago) APS Blow Off Valve Perrin Intake with k&n air filter Black Catless Invidia Bellmouth downpipe, 3.5" Custom catless exhaust from downpipe back ProTuned @ about 350WHP 348 Ft Lbs Torque At 18.5PSI Other Mods: STI pink Under tie bars STi gauge cluster STi side skirts 18x8.75 Black wheels with 235/45/18 tires (only 300 miles on them) 2004 STi drivetrain (trans, drive shaft, axles, hubs etc.) Brembo calipers Drilled and slotted rotors Has 2011 WRX front seats (I have the rear too just never installed) Seat Belt harness bar with 4 point red cam lock seat belts Monster Energy, GoPro Decals (can be removed) Short Shifter (Agency Power) Carbon Fiber shift knob Black inserted OEM headlights Strut Tower Bar Adjustable Coilovers (300 miles on them) Spoilerless trunk (with no holes) Rear window spoiler No radio (switch board currently in there, can be removed and a radio and be hooked up, all the wiring is still there) Alpine door speakers Boost gauge on steering column Stock alarm Tinted windows All Wheel Drive (AWD) Sure there's more I'm forgetting No chips in the windshield (new) None smoker and no pets Hood and trunk are Plasti Dipped as is the foglight covers and lip on the front bumper. (It can be removed) Cons: DCCD is there but not wired up I have all the controls just missing the wiring. It does have a couple small dents (from other car doors, nothing major) from the previous owner. Due to the power its putting out there some rear diff slap (you can google it) the rear diff needs harder/stronger bushings to solve this, just never had the time or the money to do it. Occasionally I have an code pop up (P0607) if you google it you will see 2 things it could be. For me its a bad ground somewhere because Hi beam and reverse lights don't work. (It is not in limp mode) Could use a real fender roll (sometimes it will rub with a really hard bump) I say real because the previous owner said he did it with a baseball bat and a heat gun. Lights on dash ABS (because of sti cluster swap, common) Rear diff temp (because its not grounded, common with sti cluster swaps) Airbag (on because front seat airbags are not plugged in, the plug was different from 2006 to 2011) Brake (also because of sti cluster swap) You can text me at (248)705-7335 I can send you more pics and videos if you have any questions please contact me I have tried explaining everything in full detail so you have the best understanding of what you are bidding on. I do have it for sale locally too and have the right to end the auction. Sold As Is |

2019 Subaru Forester: Refined by evolution
Wed, Mar 28 2018Here it is, the all-new 2019 Subaru Forester, a lot like it was before, and a lot different. Spy shots clued us in to evolutionary exterior on this fifth generation, which Subaru dubs "a more rugged style." Taking cues from the Ascent, instead of bodysides decorated with a couple of character lines, Subaru designers stressed the sculpture of the entire span. In front, A larger, black gloss-finish grille cuts deeper into the bumper from the top. The headlight housings carry over in shape, but now hold LED lamps standard on all trims. Along the sides, punched-out wheel arches frame an angled shoulder that cuts into the C-pillar and wraps around the side glass. Design tweaks and the move to Subaru's Global Platform bring a 1.2-inch longer wheelbase and 1.4 more inches of rear legroom. Occupants up front sit in new, more comfortable seats and enjoy more space in the center tunnel thanks to an electronic parking brake. In back, wider rear door openings and a steeper C-pillar allow easier ingress. The tailgate opening increases by 5.3 inches in width, onto a squarer cargo area with a flatter floor and a standard cargo tray. An interior LED illuminates the load bay when the tailgate's open, an exterior floodlight shines outside the rear of the crossover. Lower the rear seats and access 76.1 cubic feet of loading room, 1.9 cu. ft. more than before. The carmaker says you can put golf bags in the car sideways without needing to tilt them, an arcane, yet commendable, achievement. A trim shakeup adds a new variant, the lineup being Base, Premium, Limited, Touring, and a new Sport model. Base and Premium ride on 17-inch wheels, the others get 18-inchers. All Foresters are powered by an "enhanced" version of the present 2.5-liter boxer four-cylinder with direct injection, higher compression, and active exhaust valve control. The engine now makes 182 horsepower, a 12-hp improvement, and 176 pound-feet of torque, a 2-lb-ft improvement. For you Forester experts, that means yes, the 250-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine vacates the premises. Every trim gets a Lineartronic CVT and stop/start. Touring and Sport models get a manual mode and paddle shifters, mimicking a seven-speed gearbox. The Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-DRIVE) offers Intelligent and Sport drive modes (Sport Sharp on the Sport trim); Intelligent prioritizes fuel economy, Sport maximizes thrills. Fuel economy reaches as high as 33 miles per gallon on the highway, depending on trim.
We drive a Subaru to one of the world's largest glaciers
Wed, Feb 24 2016Now that we're back from Patagonia, senior video producer Chris McGraw is emptying out his camera memory and putting together a number of short clips showing the various places we visited along the journey. (Yes, we wanted to upload these last week, but had little to no wifi connectivity along the way.) In this latest video, we bring you the sights from our trip to the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina, and a look at the roads leading into Chile. Our chariot for what was actually Day 3 of the trip was a Subaru Forester, which had no problem tackling the rough dirt and gravel roads through Patagonia, and was an excellent cruiser for the twisty paved roads leading into the Andes mountain range. The Perito Moreno Glacier is massive – roughly three times the size of Manhattan – and is one of only a few glaciers in Patagonia that's still growing. It is truly an awesome sight – one that's hard to describe, because when you see it, you just sort of stand there, mouth agape, fascinated. We've got a few more clips in the works, including our full Patagonia feature video. Stay tuned, and enjoy the view.
Ford tumbles to second worst in Consumer Reports reliability survey, list dominated by Japanese [w/video]
Mon, 29 Oct 2012It's no secret that MyFord Touch has had its share of problems since being introduced, but the most recent reliability survey from Consumer Reports shows just how much this infotainment system has affected Ford. Just two years ago, the automaker was in the top 10 for the institute's reliability rankings, but since then, it has tumbled to the second-lowest rung just above dead-last Jaguar. In addition to MyFord Touch, CR also attributes a handful of new products that have had issues right out of the gate.
Compiled from 1.2 million subscriber surveys, this year's auto reliability survey heavily favors Japanese automakers, with eight of the 10 spots hailing from Japan. Toyota brands grabbed the top three spots (Scion, Toyota and Lexus - in that order) with Mazda, Subaru, Honda and Acura filling the next four spots. The only non-Asian automaker cracking the top 10 was Audi at number eight.
Audi climbed a total of 18 spots from last year, and Cadillac and GMC round out this year's top gainers breaking into the top 15. Helping Cadillac's upward movement, the CTS Coupe was named the most reliable domestic car. Lincoln, Volvo and Chrysler join Ford on this year's biggest loser list.
