My 2004 BMW 325i recently broke a main belt, causing the engine to overheat, pinning the temp meter in the red. Since this happened in Newport, I had to have the car towed 146 miles to a BMW dealer in Portland. The service agent at the dealership told me it would cost at least $400 just to diagnose the problems. Reminded that my son (previous owner of the car) had some work done last summer at Dynasport, I called Dynasport service manager/head technician Ryan Haines and he shared my surprise at the dealer`s bill for just diagnosing my problem. I told the dealer not to do anything further, paid the $438 and had it towed to Dynasport. The next day, Ryan called to say he completed the repairs and the bill came to $365. My Beemer has been running perfectly ever since. Ryan Haines loves BMWs (you should ask to see his vintage red convertible that he has crafted into a jewel on rubber tires) and Ryan also loves to help his customers. He even told me how to save hundreds of dollars to fix a paint chipped rear bumper. With Ryan to service my car, I will be driving it for another 100-thousand miles (at least). I was referred to Ryan/Dynasport by friend, when I explained that I was DONE with the local dealership. I couldn`t have been more impressed with the service and repair - and price. My concerns about convenience regarding the location were quickly eliminated when I was told that I could get a ride to which ever Trimet stop I needed.
