New "Old" Tires

We recently purchased four ?ˆ?new?ˆ? tires from one of your stores located in Columbus, Ohio off of Sinclair Rd. The tires were put on my car then when I got home I was looking at the tires and noted that the manufacture date was 11-06. I have watched the 20/20 segment and understand from the show that tires or rubber does not hold up well after 7 years. I realize that it was one show but I would like to do everything ... view morepossible to assure that my family is as safe as possible. I contacted the store and they gave me a lecture about tires and then said they would replace them with ?ˆ?new 2008 ?ˆ? tires( the store also had framed the 20/20 segment regarding replacing tires). The next day I took my car back and again talked to the manager who again tried to tell me his opinion on tires and what he would do if he was me?ˆ¦which he is not. He begrudgingly looked for newer tires and told me that they do not carry 2008 tires. He called another store and said he could get me 22/2007 tires. I agreed but was not happy. After I picked up my car again I noted that I have two tires that were made in 22/2007 and two that are 11/2006. So after all that, I am not satisfied, but feel I am preaching to the choir and will not get any action. I will be going elsewhere for my business in the future. I work in a field that the customer is appreciated, given what is requested within the norm and not treated in a condescending manner.
