Who knew getting a new system was this easy
It`s great to still find a local shop with a friendly knowledgeable staff. I knew i needed a new radio, but who knew what adding a subwoffer would do. These guys did!. Not only does the Bluetooth work amazing, but my tunes never sounded better. They seemed pretty busy when i showed up without an appointment but KC promised i would be done by the end of the night. They had to work late that night, and i went home hap... view morepy. Thank you to all of the staff that helped out, including bald guy behind the counter, whos name i never got.

WHAT A PLEASURE
About six weeks ago, someone decided they needed my car stereo more than I and left a gaping hole in my dash. On an errand today, I passed by HiTech AutoSound in Kent. I was tired of looking at the empty cavern, so I decided to stop in on my way back by. I`m on a low budget and considered it an exploratory mission. Wow. Am I glad I found them! This is a well run, honorable shop. At my age, they are young boys t... view moreo me, but -- man, do they know how to take care of customers. I told them I was in a hurry and on a budget. I had a dollar figure in mind and they quickly quoted about 25% below that number AND squeezed me in between a couple of other jobs. Oh, and I also had my huge, 10-year-old German Shepard in the car and they welcomed her like she was a paying customer. An added bonus was the owner stopping in while I was there. His 12-year-old son jumped out of the car and said, ""Is that your dog???"", and proceeded to pet her, play fetch, and completely charm us both while the job was completed. Can`t say enough about the place. Joe, Kevin and Calvin. Be assured you will be taken care of. I certainly was.

Best, friendly, and most professional audio installers Kent
They are a friendly group of professional guys. The cost was reasonable and there were no hidden cost. My install was done in a timely manner. They offer high quality parts and accessories, window tint, alarms, and sound systems.I would go to Hitech Autosound in East Kent for all my auto sound needs. So should you!

Highly Recommended!!
When I walked into the HiTech on a Tuesday evening I had a good idea of what I wanted. I was looking for an in-dash dvd player, an alarm system with remote start, and tint. I knew the exact dvd player that I wanted. I didn`t have a preference on the alarm and tint, I just wanted good quality. Joe seemed very knowledgable and even referred to his own vehicle which eased any apprehension I may have had about these prod... view moreucts that I wasn`t sure about. He even did a demonstration of the remote start with his own vehicle. I dropped my car off the next day when HiTech opened at 10am. I was told my car would be done the same day around 6pm. I left my house in Covington at 6:15pm and headed to HiTech. I received the call that it was done at 6:30pm. I was walked thru how to operate my new toys by Joe. He`s really charming and easy on the eyes. ;)~ I`m very please with my products and service. I would highly recommend HiTech Autosound in Kent, WA for all of your car audio, alarm, and tint needs.

Best Car Audio Installers in South King County
I am a very high end car audio enthusiast. I have been installing custom stereos in my cars since the late 80`s. Most installers with high standards are gone, victims of the I-Pod generation and the economy. It is hard for places like Hitech Autosound to make a living because people like me are few and far between. However, having used them twice now, I can personally tell you if you want quality work done, hone... view morest work done, this is a very good place. In fact, it is the ONLY place I would recommend in South King County. And they are honest. They actually refused to do some work that would have cost me more money, because they felt I did not need it. That is worth the trip just for that kind of honest. Car Toys has to do volume to make money, and their installers are a revolving door unless you happen to find the few really good installers there to work on your car, if they even work for them any more. I have had work done by Car Toys. I prefer Hitech Autosound for all my car installations. So trust me. I hold very high standards for car audio and alarm installation. This place meets my high standards. Ask for Joe.

Nice Alternative to the Car Stereo Usual(s)
Came in looking to add some much needed low end to the stock system in a `11 Hyundai Sonata. Joe @ Hitech helped to pick out a sub, amp & hi-lo converter to maintain the stock look in the car. Install was done on the spot, installer was pretty confident in doing the under-the-seat install as there was plenty of clearance space. Car was finished in reasonable amont of time and the install looked clean. All the tri... view morem pieces put back correctly and everything worked as it should. Should mention I wasn`t 100% satisfied with the sub (RF R2) at the initial purchase. Joe told me to try it out for awhile, if I don`t like it - bring it back and he`ll credit it towards something else. Sure enough, 6 days later - brought the sub back. Upgraded to the sub I should`ve selected from the beginning (RF P3). Also, brought up one very minor install issue (Yes, I go through every install done in my cars and I am VERY picky.) While it was completely dead in the store - Joe exchanged & swapped the sub, corrected the minor amp install issue and even secured the sub enclosure better in the trunk. Can`t say enough good things about these guys - they do good work and they are very easy to work with. The installation quality is top-notch (unlike the mickey-mouse install quality from the ""big boys"" in town.). Conveniently located for me (within 2 miles of my house and on the way to work), folks who believe in their product and lots of things to do in the area if you have to wait around. Not the easiest to find for people who aren`t from the area - small sign and storefront isn`t marked well. Plus, the store and garage bays are perpenduclar to the street. But, it is a hidden jewel in the Kent area.

bad customer service, lazy and incompetent installer
Stay away from these incompetent installers. I was told over the phone that they had over 10 years experience with installing alarms but that`s all a lie. Paid for a top of the line compustar alarm with proximity sensor for my 06 accord. The installation time would only be 3 hours max. Well that was totally off. It ended up taking 1 day, an overnight stay in the shop, and extra 2-3 hours the next day. Joe doesn`t h... view moreave the courtesy to make a call and tell you about the status of your car or that it will take longer to install. If you call him up and ask about your car he will hang up and blame it on reception. After being lied to and getting a smirk from the installers; I received my car. When I received the car it looked like everything was functioning correctly well I was wrong. When I got back home my car wouldn`t turn off. I put the key back in the ignition and tried to turn it off again and it still wouldn`t turn off. I had to actually remote start it again with the remote to turn it off. It was programmed for manual reservation mode when my car is an automatic!!!! Called up Joe and he asked, ""Is the car a manual?"" I said, ""No, it`s an automatic!"" He and the installer should of known this since my car was in the shop the whole day and night earlier!!! Told me to bring it in to diagnose the problem. I already knew what the problem was but Joe lied and said that the e-brake wire came loose when the installer diagnosed it. So basically before handing over the car they don`t bother to test it to see if everything is working correctly. I would not recommend these guys to anyone. I should of just went to Cartunez in Lakewood and saved myself the headaches of being lied to and making 4 trips back and forth to Hi tech.

SO sloppy!
I was SO disappointed after coming to Hi-tech Autosound. I needed a remote start install on my new car. The guy at the desk, Joe, seemed pretty knowledgeable of Compustar alarm systems, and after reading other reviews, I felt pretty comfortable leaving my car there. But when I came to pick it up, I noticed the antenna was not attached to the front window as it should be. I called the guys back over and they fixed it.... view more Then, I noticed a piece out of place on the steering wheel was not attached properly. Again, I had to call the guys back over to fix it. After that, I came across even more problems. The heaters were not working...and then the lights would not come on... (this is a 2010 vehicle) and an hour and a half later, the employees seemed aggravated at ME for their own sloppy jobs. I`m not usually that picky of a person, but now I can`t help but wonder what kind of slop is under the hood. I don`t recommend...

Awesome Remote Installation
I went in to get a remote start installed. They were very busy but they were able to install in that day even thought I just dropped in. Joe was very knowledgable about which product would be best for my car at the price I could work into my budget. He answered all my questions in a way I could understand. I will definately be back!!!
