PUSHY, SELF-SERVING, OFFENSIVE SALES

HORRIBLE SALESPERSON. My wife (this is her account) and I just went to this dealership to look at WRX`s and STI`s as we are just starting the car buying process again. We chose this dealership as it was closest to our home. What a HUGE mistake! We were greeted by a saleswoman (she did not give us her name nor ask us for ours, but she has short blonde hair and was middle-aged). She quickly acted surprised that ... view morewe didn`t have an appt and told us how everyone is just really busy at the moment. Yet, she still sat us down and started her aggressive sales pitch. In short, she told us she had no WRX`S to test drive/look at (which is contrary to what their website states about their inventory) and that an STI was only available to drive AFTER a price had been agreed upon. I thought that was idiotic (and told her so) that someone would drop $40K on a car without having driven it first. She then goes on to offensively lecture my wife and I on how they wouldn`t be able to sell an STI if it had any miles on it. My wife pointed out that we have a Mercedes AMG and were allowed to drive multiple AMG models before buying ours. Rather than the saleswoman simply stating that was their policy, she makes up some pathetic excuse and stated that they don`t sell many STI`s and have to treat the STI`s that they have like a precious jewel or something. It isn`t a surprise they don`t sell many STI`s with this kind of service. She also wanted to point out that when someone comes into their dealership to look at an STI, they know exactly what they want and are ready to buy one. She actually tried to shame us into buying a car the first day we walked into the dealership. Really? Because any reasonable consumer would do research (both at the dealership and at home) before making a significant purchase like a car. Apparently, this saleswoman only sells to naive shoppers that like to be abused by their salespeople and took us for one of these shoppers. After leaving the dealership and coming home, I felt that the sales manager need to be informed of the horrible experience we just went through. When I called, I was told he was with a customer and that I could leave a message. I did, and no big surprise, the manager never called me back. I advise anyone that wants to have a positive care purchasing experience to avoid this dealership at all cost. Any dealership that can employ such a foul salesperson obviously does not care about their customers.
