Thanks to TCOA for fixing my transmission. The customer service was fantastic. I happy with my overall experience. After inspecting the transmission they gave me options on how to fix it. Angel and Wendy are not only drawing in customers, they really know about cars. They aslo checked my car for other problems while it was there. The only negative thing I have to say is the price was slightly higher than a few other ... view moreplaces I shopped around at. But in the end, I think it was worth the extra money spent to get the special treatment and to have the confidence the job was done right. Especially since I`m on the road a lot with work.

I hated to hear the bad news, ...

I hated to hear the bad news, "transmission rebuild", but the employees at Transmission Corporation America made it as painless as possible. Everything works good again and their follow up was great after the repair was made. I hope I never need their services again, but if I do I wouldn`t hesitate to use them. My Dodge Dakota has never shifted so smoothely!

When my rear end differential ...

When my rear end differential was making a terrible noise, Transmission Corporation of America quickly scheduled me an appointment for a free inspection. And this was on a holiday weekend! Angel was very helpful and friendly. After the inspection, Angel dicussed the problem and potential solutions with me. did what they promised

It is very unusual to find someone that actually does what they promise, especially in the auto repair business when you find yourself in dire circumstances, like a failing transmission. Like many people we didn`t have the cost of a transmission overhaul just lying around the house, we are on a budget. I took a test drive with Angel and the problem showed itself while she was in the car. After we returned to the shop, she quickly had a tech check the transmission and I saw metal fragments on the drain plug. We decided to proceed and I was quoted a price and time estimate. Both the cost and completion date were accurate and the car has been driving fine ever since I picked it up. I also have a 12 month warranty.

What a fake

Most of the reviewer who left a comment here seem to be hired by the company. The comments here are their only comment, and interestingly they left it on the same day they signed up. I mean, all of them. Click anyone. You`ll see what I mean. I wouldn`t go a shop, doing this dirty work.

professional & competent

Simply put, I say ""thanks!"" to Transmission America for doing everything they said they would! Not only did they repair a transmission that the dealer would not even attempt to repair, they backed their warranty without even blinking an eye. Due to no fault of theirs, a brand new part failed and they had to do the repair again. They did it so quickly and cheerfully, I was amazed. PERSONAL SERVICE IS EXCELLENT!

Excellent personal service! Very attentive - KEPT ME INFORMED THE ENTIRE TIME MY JEEP WAS IN FOR SERVICE. WHEN I TOOK MY JEEP IN FOR DIAGNOSTICS I WAS GIVEN 3 OPTIONS FOR REPAIR. I found this company online th...

I found this company online through google. I had my Dakota towed there one morning after talking to Angel over the phone. They took my transmission apart and ran diagnostics to determine what was wrong. When I came in to get the report, I noticed the report was for a transmission that is not on my particular Dakota. After pointing this out, Wendy told me the components were the same (torque converter, filters, trans... view moremission oil pump, ext.) and the numbers were pulled to match my transmission and even though the transmission listed was not mine, they were the same component-wise. They had listed to replace an external transmission filter also, but here is the thing... my transmission doesn`t even have an external transmission filter. The quote was for around $3,400 for a rebuild. After pointing out that my vehicle did not even have an external filter, Angel went in the back to verify if I was right, which I knew I was. Angel then proceeded to tell me I was right, which took me talking to two people to be reassured. Angel then looked up my correct transmission (42rle, and not the 545rfe I was told was the same) and how much the repairs would cost. It totalled to almost $2,700. This is $700 less than what they were originally trying to charge me. Had they originally taken two minutes to verify I was right in the first place (instead of telling me the components were the same and cost would be the same for both transmisisons) it would have been fine, but she insisted parts were the same. If I had known nothing about my transmission, I would have overpaid $700 and part of this would have been for a part that my vehicle did not even have. I am taking my business elsewhere. I can`t trust a company to rebuild something so major and give me a reasonable price after they ensured me that my transmission needed something that is non-existant. Would NOT recommend to anyone.
