Greatest Repair Shop in Manhattan

Found Chander`s online and what an experience we had. Derrick is so wonderful and he exceded our expectations!!!
The service was great...the pricing was more than reasonable...I can`t say enough great things about them!!!
I think everyone should know that it takes a lot to impress my associate and she is impressed!

Excellent Shop

My best friend and I had a flat and we didn`t have anywhere else to go so we seen the auto repair shop. Derrick helped us out tremendously and fixed the flat. He put the donut on and he also filled my best friend`s tires up with air. He was a great help and if ever needed we will always go back to him because he provided such great services. Thank you once again Derrick!

Wow, now this is a garage/auto repair establishment

This establishment is known for Benz repairs but are also listed as an NYS inspection station. I originally needed an inspection and called. Derrick said come on in before 5pm, no problem.. no reservation. Derrick remembered my call from the morning, inspected my car immediately and then I had him change oil and wipers. Not only did these guys know what they were doing, they didn`t over sell and were the most pleasan... view moret folks to do business with. Imagine that! Nice guys at a nice garage. They are the best!

We have been taking our cars to Chander for more than 15 years, and I have always thought they were great. But a recent experience showed me how terrific they are. The Saturday night before we were leaving for an extended driving vacation, the radiator boiled over. Derrick drove in to the City to check the car out to make sure there was nothing wrong with it. The round trip from his home took more than 2 hours, a... view morend his Saturday night was ruined, but I couldn`t get him to charge me for any of his time. After some negotiation (and I really had to push), he finally agreed to charge me for an hour. We should all be as dedicated to our professions as Derrick is. He is truely a cut above.

Chander Auto Second Location

I was looking for an auto repair shop on the upper east side to service my vehicle and I came across Chander Auto Repair. I was told that they also have a location on the west side. In these hard times it is nice to know that there is someone that you can trust to take care of your car especially when you are an older person. old school service and great value

It seems counter-intuitive to go to an auto repair place just outside Tribeca (and just north of the financial district) to find trustworthy, reasonably priced, Mercedes Benz service -- but Chander Auto is great. My dealings have been mostly with Derrick, but I`ve met his brother once and they`re both great. Derrick frequently gives customers his own cell phone number so they can call him directly with questions an... view mored concerns. He knows you. He knows your car. I have no idea how he remembers everything. He simply loves what he does. it shows.

My car is an older Benz. I`ve found that Derrick knows these cars better than most of the ""kids"" at dealerships in NYC and NJ. In addition to his wealth of knowledge, he`s a great guy and I`ve found him to be completely trustworthy. His hourly mechanic`s rates are equal to or less than those at dealerships and other garages I`ve visited. Because he knows what he`s doing, your car is in and out of the garage quicker and less expensively than other places.

I am not a typical Benz owner (read: I`m NOT wealthy... or even upper-middle class, really) but frankly, I wouldn`t mind paying a bit more to take my car to Chander because of the personalized service and the peace of mind I have because I know they`re so honest and reliable.

Best Benz Service Place

Why go to Mercedes Benz. Easier to get in and better more personal service. These guys are throughbreds of Mercedes. I have two Benz`s and they are cared for by Derrick of Chander Auto. Here your baby is treated like family and not just a number.

derrick is so fantastic--does what he says he`ll do, or at minimum his best, which is much much better than you`ll get most anywhere else. if he didn`t work so darn much, i`d ask him to marry me!! ;D whatever your ride, from an old mercedes to some posh new import, they`re the men you want!
