Dishonest and flat out rude when I complained out their questionable business practices (not disclosing hidden fees over the phone). AAA should NOT be affiliated with a company that lacks integrity and offers such poor customer service.

The other day my truck broke down with my kids in the car. I called AAA and Emerald Bay Towing came out. My driver Chris was very kind and understood how stressful my situation was. He towed me to Reno to get my car fixed and I have to say it was refreshing to see such a happy person who genuinely loves his job!!! Thank you

While on vacation in Tahoe I had problems with my car not starting. Called Emerald Bay Towing and they were prompt and they were able to get my car started instead having to tow me to a garage. They treated me with respect and saved me money at the same time.

I have had to use this company quite a few times, and I have NEVER had a bad experience. From having my car towed to their yard, to having it stored, to just needing gas, its ALWAYS been awsome customer service! Each time I`ve needed to use their service I have had to use AAA, and I know they don`t pay well but every time AAA gave me an estimated time of arrival, a driver ALWAYS showed up before, doing whatever neede... view mored to he done quickly and efficiently therefore giving me a good reason to tip.....I HIGHLY recommend this company, and remember they`re just doing their job and they have rules to follow just like you so cut them some slack.......oh and that Matt guy is super awsome and cute.....I wonder if hes single?

John Baker and Emerald Bay Towing are a bunch of crooks!! They treat locals and tourists like crap. Towed my vehicle from in front of my house and will not release it unless i give them $500.00. Not to mention an additional $100.00 a day for storage. Our street that only 3 of us live on had already been plowed and they say my vehicle was blocking the plow last night while it was ""raining"" all night!! $276.00 fine f... view morerom the city also. I called AAA for a tow and they sent the call to this company. Emerald Bay Towing called me and told me that the shop AAA was sending my car to could not repair my car, but that they could not only take my car to a secured site, but also a site that could repair my vehicle, their place. Once the tow truck driver had our car hooked up and we were on the road, when I asked about them being able to repair our car, I was... view more informed that no, they weren`t a repair shop, just a tow truck company and storage yard. It ended up costing us over $800 in charges before our car could be moved to a shop that would repair it due to them lying to me. If I would have known that they weren`t a repair shop, I would never have let them take my car there, but would have called AAA to make sure that the car was taken to a repair shop and left there. We are not from this area and thus didn`t know any better. We will never go back to South Lake Tahoe due to this event except to recover our car.
