There is a reason this place is not on my insurance company`s approved list. There are many places to take your vehicle for repairs. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
I`ll keep it short. The owner is belligerent and dishonest.

We were referred to Patterson Autobody by the dealer we bought our car at, Village Subaru when it needed bodywork done. The damage that needed to be fixed was to the right rear bumper and wheel well. We gave a copy of the insurance adjuster

We`ve used Patterson`s twice in the last 5 years. Frank is honest and does excellent work. He was particularly kind to my mid-20s daughter who was paying for the repair for a minor accident rather than going through insurance--gave her an excellent rate, and did everything he could to make the process run smoothly with the other driver. I would not hesitate to recommend Patterson`s.

Patterson`s does an excellent job. Period. But, what makes them special is the owner, Frank. You cannot find a more knowledgeable person. He is also extremely responsive, personable and above all else HONEST. If he doesn`t have an answer, he find one. There isn`t a problem he cannot solve. It takes a LOT to get on a insurance company`s `preferred` list and Patterson is one of the select businesses to make it to the list. That speak volumes. Patterson rocks. Frank and his entire team are the industry standard.

I got my car repaired at patterson autobody and I must report that it has been an excellent experience.
The entire front of the car had to be fixed. It was a major repair. The service done was efficient, quick and still very well done.
The manager was calling me 3 times a week to keep me posted about the work being done (I have never seen that done before by autobody shop). They efficiently interacted with th... view moree insurance, got the apraisal done right away. They gave me an estimate about when the work would be completed and it was very accurate. The quality of the work was excellent. In fact I was so satisfied that I decided to get something else done.
Without any hesitation I would return there.

I am new to the area and I picked Patterson because it was closest to my house. It turned out to be a disastrous choice. I took my car in in mid-Feb. After 3 visits, the problem was still unresolved. They did a wretched, totally unprofessional job on the fender moldings. I caught the owner, Frank Patterson, twice installing used, damaged parts and claiming them as new. As a pay-back, somebody in the shop decide... view mored to speed up the re-work by prying the moldings off with a screw driver against the underlying sheet metal. No attempt was made to fix up the pry marks, some of which penetrated to bare metal. They just covered them up with the replacement moldings. After the 3rd repair, the moldings pieces were still misaligned and the double-sided tapes were rolled in places, all-in-all a really ugly job. This was now the end of May. I finally persuaded the insurance company to switch me to another body shop. It was at the new shop that all the pry marks were uncovered. I complained to the insurance company. They sent out a supervisor to document the damage and I showed him the used damaged moldings that Patterson used and charged as new. I asked the insurance company to consider striking Pattern Auto Body from the ""Preferred"" list. It was the end of June by the time the saga was over. Normally I don`t like to hurl labels. But in this case, ""dishonest"", ""unprofessional"", ""sub-standard"" are what come to mind with Patterson Auto Body. I would caution any potential client of Patterson Auto Body that there is an extremely high probability that you would get your vehicle back from the shop in inferior condition than before the accident - use Patterson at your own peril.

Previously, I had good experiences with Patterson. However, this time has been a disaster.

I just picked up my car and the wheel nuts on both rear tires were coming off. I complained to Frank and he suggested that it was because someone was trying to steal my wheels but stopped and replaced the wheel caps after loosing the nuts. This was after having to put the car in for a second time because they neglecte... view mored to complete the work that was originally requested. Additionally, instead of repairing the passenger mirror as requested, they GLUED it on angled in such a way that the driver only sees the ground and can no longer be adjusted.

I highly recommend NOT taking your vehicle to Patterson Autobody in Stow.

Back in the early `90s I had an older car that I wanted to have some bodywork and a nice paint job done on. This was an out of pocket expense for me. I went to Patterson`s and spoke with Frank Patterson himself. He gave us a very fair price and did an very good job. At that time his shop and business was small. Many years later I still had the car and needed a small repair and paint for a dent I put in the car. Alth... view moreough his business had grown substantially over the years and his shop much bigger, Frank still took my job and did a great job for the price I paid. For all the hubub going on at his shop the day I was there to pick up the car he took time to talk to me (he remembered my first name!) and make sure I was happy with the work. Frank is a great guy, will work with you to make it work. Nice clean new shop and yard.

I`ve had two vehicles in there for repair and have not been happier. Both looked better than new when finished with no issues after that. So refreshing. It`s nice to have an upfront, honest guy in this trade, he will get all my business and referals.
