These guys are honest and bend over backwards to make things right. My wife and I have been bringing our 2 vehicles in for years, and they know we are on a tight budget with 6 kids. They sometimes wont even charge us for some of the work they do. Marty is always straight up with us and he helps us to try to save money any way he can. I highly recommend this business.

I own a Subaru and had a tire blow out. I took it to Douglas and although they didn`t have the same tire in stock, they had a comparable one. I trusted their "expertise" and a few months later learned that the tread pattern has to be exactly the same on all wheel drive systems to keep them from failing. I`m out an additional $200. I had my car serviced the and they crushed the rockers by not using the correct lift points on the car. When I brought it to the managers attention (I believe his name is Marty) he told me that it didn`t matter where you lift a car. I pointed out the place where it was supposed to be lifted and he then got in my face screaming at me in front of my young daughter telling me I was wrong and it didn`t matter. I was a te... view morech at a local dealership for 28 years and was just trying to get snow tires on my car. I got the run around from the owner about the problem. Never go there as they will not stand behind their work (tires had to be rebalanced as they were done incorrectly). I can`t say how bad the experience was for me and how upset it made my daughter.

The service was great. According to "The Book" it says my car should`ve taken 2 hours for the parts to be replaced. I was in and out of there in an hour. That`s with paying, waiting for the parts and everything. They were really nice and had a lot to talk about while they fixed my car. I don`t believe the bad review at all! It sounded like they wanted to get someone to pay for their (lemon) car. I moved here 11 years ago from IL and they have done everything from oil changes to MAJOR engine work and I have never had any problems with them. The owner/GM is always there and calls before all major work and lets me know the price and ""if"" he feels it is worth it. They have worked on 11 of my vehic... view moreles in this time span and they are the most HONEST bunch of people I have ever worked with! My own insurance company hired them to be a shop for them; because they were hundreds of dollars less than the dealership to do the same exact recall on an item. If you want good work, people who are HONEST and upfront about your car and what it really needs, without getting taken. Give them a call. I am a woman and know nothing about cars, but my husband totally trust them too and he worked for FORD for 14 years.

DISHONEST to say the least!! I brought my car to Douglas Tire and Auto to have my valve covers reinstalled after they had been sand-blasted and powder coated. The original coating had failed thus causing the valve covers to seep oil. I even brought one of the valve covers in to the GM and showed him the underside was still dirty/sandy from the sand-blasting. He said and I quote ""not a problem, we have big parts ... view morewasher we can get them cleaned up in"". The day after picking up my car, the oil pressure light came on... I had NO OIL PRESSURE. I pulled my oil filter and it was COMPLETELY CAKED over with sand. From that moment on, my engine burned a quart of oil for about every 15 gallons of gas burned. My car didn`t burn an OUNCE of oil beforehand. The GM kept telling me the owner would call me. To this day, I have never heard back from them. Their error ruined my engine and the owner would not contact me, nor would the GM tell me who their Garage Liability Coverage was with. An honest business owner in my book does not hide from an issue. I tell everyone I can about what happened to me.

A word to the wise - ALWAYS ask for proof of insurance BEFORE you consent to work being done to your car. Otherwise, you may be begging for their insurance information or at the least, a call back... that never comes. My $18,000 BMW was ruined. I eventually sold it for a mere $3000 due to the engine damage.
