POOR SERVICE AND MISLEADING SA...

POOR SERVICE AND MISLEADING SALES TACTICS. I spent $900 @ Firestone earlier this year on a brake job; yet my left rear brake caliper seized yesterday. I called the Firestone store that did the job and was told the caliper was under lifetime warranty, just bring it back in. Since I`d moved to Tucker, I called the Northlake Parkway store and made an appointment for Noon. I was told the part was under warranty, but ... view moreit had expired 2,000 miles ago, but they`d replace it for me anyway. I told him the other store had said "lifetime" and he said, "Right, we`re going to replace it for you. (So, why the 2,000 miles expiration story?) But, it will be $140 for the brake hose and $62 for a brake flush and we also recommend you replace all your sparkplugs, that`ll be over $400. I declined everything but the hose (I was trapped); he persisted on the brake flush, so I relented. (Why do I have to defend myself?) TWO HOURS LATER I saw no one working on my car, so I asked about status. A clerk checked and discovered "they" had sent the wrong size caliper and someone had to go to the parts store and get the right one. He said, "No one told you about this?" I said, no, that would have been nice. One more hour later the job was done. I spent $200 and 3 hours of my Saturday replacing a part I`d already paid for. BEWARE single ladies - they plan to take advantage of you.
