I used Yellowpages.com to find a repair shop for my truck A/C that needed a recharge. This Firestone had no reviews so I checked with the Better Business Bureau and they had two resolved complaints against them. I called and was given a quote of $24 for an A/C check and approx. $95 to recharge it. They took me right in and within a half hour said my A/C compressor was making "a noise" and gave me an estimate for o... view morever $ 700. They also were going to charge me $40 for the A/C check until I told them they had quoted me $24. I told them to just recharge it since there were not leaks and it took them another hour to do that. When I left it didn`t seem any cooler but as I drove a distance it seemed to be working better. I will post again if it stops working on me. I am always suspicious of these car repair places making things worse rather than better in order to charge bigger bucks. With GM filing chapter 11, I may just go buy a new truck.
